At the time of my purchase, this device has 56% 5 star reviews, but I should have listened to the 20% 1 star reviews - which is significantly high for something so many gave perfect reviews for... This product is significantly cheaper than its competitors and had decent reviews, so I gave it a shot. As they say, you get what you pay for. You pay little and get little.First off, Windows 10 does not have native drivers for this. There was a burned mini-CD in the package, but who has CD drives any more? The manual points to a website to get the driver, which of course was not a valid URL. I couldnt find it on the site at all. Ended up googling around and found a driver and installed it.I currently work from home and have 3 monitors hooked up to my computer. I cant add an additional video card to add another monitor and I really need all the space on the 3 desktops. So I thought I can use this to hook up a very small 12" 720p HDTV to watch YouTube videos on.So I set it up and the USB to HDMI adapter worked. Yay! That was short lived. There is no software to adjust any settings, so that is minorly annoying as I couldnt adjust the overscan on the TV or colors. Not a big deal. The overscan is fine if im just watching videos and I can use the TV itself to adjust colors. Playing video on it worked quite nicely. The video was smooth, granted it was set to 720. But then I noticed when playing videos my keyboard and mouse were stuttering a little. At first I thought it was something else, as the videos were playing fine, not to mention the adapter was on the USB3 bus not on the USB2, where the mouse and keyboard were. But eventually I got enough to check. The only thing that changed was the adapter. So I go to pull it out and it is hot. Way hotter than a passively cooled, enclosed electronic device should be. I pulled the adapter out and my mouse and keyboard work fine again. Plugged it back in, mouse and keyboard are stuttering again. I dont get how its affecting a different USB bus, but it is. Then I stop playing videos and just let it sit there displaying a static website. I walk away. A few hours later, I start hearing my Windows making constant USB connection and disconnection sounds. I go in and immediately put my hand on the USB adapter and it is HOT. Its so hot is failing, causing the disconnection and sound, cooling off and working again, then reconnecting and causing the sound. Over and over.I will return this POS adapter and buy a more expensive one... Maybe. One day I will learn that saving a few bucks comes with its own problems... Maybe.

I have an old 27" VGA color monitor for viewing simple work websites, no complicated video an motion. I rate the resolution clarity at 96%. It is not as clear through my PC USB versus the HDMI, but I do not need perfection for video watching or editing. I don't want to buy a new screen or a fancy adapter. For this little money, it works great. Don't expect true resolution of an HDMI port with USB port driver. Using this saves at least $120, since you can keep an old VGA monitor with a VGA out.

These "work," just not fantastic. I had a need for a dual monitor setup, but I suppose my system is a bit too old to make full use of this technology. If you have an older pc with limited driver support, this may or may not work for your application.

Not happy, had to download software from a third party site. More importantly it blackouts regularly. I have a HP all in one running Windows 11 with a 4G processor. Going to spend more now for better.

It simply does NOT work - the computer screen shuts down, which did not prevent the device from heating up. I installed the Windows version twice (I uninstalled it once). Nothing helped. I even paused my eSet antivirus for the install, following the instructions. I have a 2-years old DELL laptop with Windows 11.Before installing and connecting your device, I had a PROTEC USB to HDMI adapter to connect to my second monitor. Now, after attempting to install the adapter, my previous adapter does not work either, so now not only that this adapter does not work, but somehow it disabled my previous one and I ended up having one screen instead of two. The PROTEC device is now identified by the system as Fresco-logic, although I uninstalled the driver. So, not only the new device does not work, it caused me damage, and a large waste of time!I've sent email with highest priority to both email addresses included in the infinitely-small printed instructions - after 3 days, got no answer!!I am very disappointed. Highly NOTrecommended!

This works just as intended. I bought a second monitor for work from home/school from home and I didn’t realize that I didn’t have enough ports to plug it in. My work computer is a Windows laptop, and my home laptop is a MacBook Air, which doesn’t have an HDMI port, and I am already using the Mini DisplayPort for my first monitor. Rather than spend $100+ on a dock that could work for both monitors and computers, I thought I would try this little guy. I was a little surprised that I needed to download a driver to make it work (I am admittedly not very tech-savvy), but installation was quick and easy and both monitors are working great.

I received this product yesterday. Along with this I received driver cd as well but since I do not have a CD drive I was not able to use it. Contacted Microware customer care and immediately they responded and sent the driver link and it worked. People who are looking to setup multiple monitors I recommend this . Thank you

Delivery time was great and on time but careful were you're using it or placing it cause it gets very HOT. I have it elevated above my work surface with paper clips. It's hot enough that you can't hold it once it has been on for 10 to 15 minutes. Does cool down once monitor is on sleep mode or shut off. Worked from April 15th to June 25th 2021 and now it's DEAD. Really disappointed!I will not be purchasing this item again. :-(

Drivers supplied incompatible with nvidia graphics, logout automatically making it impossible to simultaneously connect second monitor to built in HDMI port of laptop, defeating the whole purpose of buying the adaptor
