Adds Bulk - YES Adds weight - YES But who is carrying this type of laptop for hours on shoulders. Bulk and weight - is the reason to safe guard your machines. Worth the deal if safety and yes it adds attitude and style too. Go for it

Sturdy and heavy
Build quality is good But it add quite a waight to overall heavy MacBook Pro 16inch model, makes moving with one hand quality a challenge. I wish they have added some soft cushioning on the inside edges for monitor and base covers. Overall It fit well to the base body but sometimes monitor cover may come out if you are not pulling/opening the lid correctly/gently..
