Great airbrush , brand new.
Tried cheap airbrush and compressor, absolutely useless ,sent them back . Bought as 186 compressor and then plumped for the iwata neo. I wanted prime delivery but this seller had average reviews people saying goods second hand, this is definitely not true my airbrush came next day delivery , the box has clearly been in the warehouse for a while but it is definitely brand new all sealed up it has come from America. I unpacked it and attached it to my compressor and ran vallejo primer through it ,the airbrush works perfectly i am now a happy chappy don't buy cheap it is worth the outlay for the better quality and knowing that the brush won't clog up every 2 minutes.

Compared to cheap chinese Air Brushes, this is a joy to use.
Iwata Neo is what most experts consider to be a cheap entry level Air Brush, the advice they give is to ignore the Brushes you get free with Compressors. They really arent any good and I'll explain why here. The difference between a cheap Chinese Air Brush and a real entry level Brush like the Neo is the trigger gives you full control over air and paint flow, from 0% to 100%, it is very sensitive and handles paints far better, unlike like the Chinese ones that give you 50% to 100% with constant blockages and problems and substandard results. That means the Neo gives you more control, less blockages, better paint flow yet is considered an entry level Air Brush. It does not mean fine detail work though, you need to paint £100s more for that, they tend to be high end and expensive.Trouble is, the Neo being so sensitive, requires a little practice to get used too. Its far too easy to pull the trigger back and put too much paint on your model. It really is a precision instrument compared to the Chinese brushes, if not to the high end brushes. So practice on paper first, get a feel for that trigger, learn how much pressure is needed for each task. Then enjoy your new Brush.PS all standard tubing connections from cheaper air brush kits appear to fit the Neo too. So those parts can still be used.

Quality
I bought this airbrush to replace the cheap one I bought last year. It was over twice the price. But it was worth it as time lost cleaning and unblocking the head on the cheapo could be used else where. The spray pattern is spot on and on full chat it will cover an area very quickly. Its excellent quality, light in the hand and the spare small cup handy for small quantities of paint or reaching in close. With some practice I should be able to spray on the German camo spots on my models; just need to get used to the lighter trigger. The cups unscrew which helps cleaning. If you are thinking of buying your first airbrush, spend a bit extra on one of this calibre, a cheap one will put you off airbrushing as it will eventually annoy you so much. Check out the reviews on U Tube.

Decent airbrush
I ve never had an airbrush nor used one so I have no comparison. . I found it easy to hook up and it worked as advertised. Only time will tell if it’s durable and continues to function

Eye Opener
For the last year I've been using a couple of cheap but popular chinese airbrushes bought off amazon and have generally found it to be a very frustrating experience. I only use Vallejo model air paint and the cheap airbrushes would clog at the drop of a hat. I tried diluting with vallejo thinners, flow improvwer, retarder but hardly ever had a successful experience. Some colours, yellow ochre in particular, were almost impossible to spray.Reluctantly, I decided to spend more and buy this NEO brush, which was the cheapest well-rated brush I could find. The difference is transformational. I prime without any dilution and can usually airbrush pretty much any colour without needing to thin. Airbrushing is no longer a last resort and something I dread.
