Great for the Unexpected
Although my wife complains about me being prepared for the "end of the earth" every time we go on a trip I know she appreciates it when we can cope with most 'emergencies', and this is where these towels come in handy. Kids sick on the car seat - no problems, ice-cream over the jumper - no problems, juice spilled...you get my drift. A quick drop of water (or coke etc) from a drinks bottle (or even puddle) and away you go with a handy mop/towel. They are actually quite robust, but most of the time I use them as disposables; a few used ones still hang around the boot of the car. They are about as small as you can get (I tried the tablet sized napkins but found them just too small and flimsy and no good as a 'drying' implement). They expand to something like a J-Cloth (similar material) and each comes with individual plastic cover - which does not cover whole towel - so if they share the same bag with a leaking drink bottle you can find they have become 'not so small' - hence my 4 and not 5 stars. Only a few drops of water kick-off the expansion and you can then open them out OK if the purpose of use is 'drying', but they ring-out easily for immediate re-use as well.

Good for travelling light
I recently decided to take up the challenge of trying to travel light when I go away on vacations. In this I have found shoes and towels to be the biggest pains as they are bulks. Whilst I can't do anything about the shoes (sometimes you end up somewhere fancy and can't get in without 'proper shoes') but you can do something about the bulky towel. For weekends away camping the small towels are find for a quick face wash, and for longer trips where you need a larger towel the larger towel is a tiny addition to stick in your rucksack or coat pocket especially good if you don't know whether you will have a towel in your room (some hostels give you them, other's don't and charge to hire them) I can't comment on the quality factor as I haven't owned them long enough to see if they will last (I suspect not) but will update my review if I find out either way

Handy but really a J-Cloth
Bought as a novelty item but handy enough for travelling or walking. Basically it is a J-Cloth, so reasonably absorbent, packs down into a small volume, dries out much faster than a conventional towel, useful for mopping up spills, or as a dishcloth (like its blue and white relatives which you can get for a lot less in any supermarket!) It works a bit like a chamois leather, so 'dab, don't rub' to dry yourself. Although the material is stronger than it looks, it will tear quite easily if you are not careful. The vaguely orange colour is a bit odd but it wasn't bought as a design statement. Loved the wildly-enthusiastic tag line, 'the Only Towels That are Survival Tools' and am eagerly waiting to see Bear Grylls tackle the wilderness with just a pack of these in his pocket.

superlight, soft and truly multifunctional.
Ever since I have them, I take one almost everywhere. In this way I have experienced how plenty the purposes where they turn out to be of great use. the only downside is that they do not last forever. I wash them up to five-six times, then they start to be quite worn out (but remain useable as a rag). However, this only downside does not weigh up against the loads of advantages (supersmall and light, really nice fabric, and so multifunctional). This size is too small to dry an entire wet body, but as a hand-towel and basically anything else, it's just perfect.

Very useful for travel and personal care
I bought this pack on the strength of other purchasers' reviews.I travel a lot for work assignments to mainly developing regions, and I have to make sure I can keep my computer and related kit clean and free of dust and dirt as much as possible. The pack as delivered is very compact, so one can carry another spare unused towel in a corner of one's workbag or suitcase. The cloth of an opened towel is thinner and lighter than an equivalent microfibre cloth/towel.I have mislaid one of the towels after several months of using it to clean my portable computer's screen, mobile phone and other items. When I've forgotten my handkerchief or sweatband, the towel helped keep me free of the sweat for a bit. It washed ok and lasted longer than I expected. The second one is already proving itself, just so convenient to tuck away until ready for use again. It has many uses, lighting a fire is something I have not tried, but I have used it to mop up blood and as a pad for wrapping round the thin handle of a heavy bagI would buy this pack again, maybe also a larger size which one could use for many other uses, even as a tourniquet or for binding stuff together for temporary repair if no cord is available, or as a headband to soak up sweat during exercise.

Backpacking towel?
Took all three backpacking as they weigh so little. All three where needed to dry myself thoroughly after a shower, they are just oversized J cloths. Having said that they do work well and dry very quickly. Would have given them 4 stars but the wife put them in the washing machine on my return and they just disintegrated in the wash.A good alternative for lightweight travel, therefore I intend to purchase this product in bath towel size and handbags only.
