I am very pleased with this purchase. I was hesitate, and thoroughly researched many similar items and this one by description was at the top.I don't know anything about Xbox nor the hardware or anything my husband is the knowledgable one but I couldn't ask him because the Xbox was his bday gift and the power adapter died and I got the box on perfect condition and hardly used so buying this was no issue. The fan is noticable at first but within hours it's no longer noticeable. I've only had it a day but if any issues turn up I will update thank you for your product.(UPDATE) March 10, 2016 This product lasted 11 months for us. Considering how often I'm heading people having to buy these things as often as every 2-3 months this thing worked great. My husband opened it up and you can immediately see that one of the capacitors blew in it. I've quit smoking and for the last 5 days I've spent every waking moment on it literally and last night in the middle of a saints row 4 mission it just turned off. No noise no nothing. So I turned it back on and 15 mins later it happened again. I didn't know what happened til morning when my husband turned it on and had it happen to him. He said don't turn it back on. And that's when be opened it up and said we needed a new one and showed me why. For the past 11 months we have used the xbox for everything. The only tv we watch is hulu and Netflix and to do that we use the xbox. We even watch YouTube on it. When we leave I leave Netflix on for my cats. So when I say we run our xbox constantly I truly mean it. Its hardly turned off. Only when we are sleeping. I stay home so I use it more than my husband now. So this product definitely is worth it. I'd suggest keeping it dust free as much as possible with can duster. It should last about a year even running it hard. Hands down I give this product5 stars and would give it 10 if i could.

Warning: This adapter killed my Xbox 360. Our old adapter wouldn't power up our Xbox. You'd get a brief light and some fan noise from the console and then a power off. We were able to confirm the adapter was bad by using a different one from our 2nd Xbox. So I took to the internets and looked around based on the model number from the factory adapter. This adapter from Ortz Gamez seemed to be the right mix of price, warranty and high customer rating. I even ordered late afternoon and still got it the next day. Needless to say, my kid was beside himself happy. He plugged it all in right away and settled in to some long awaited Call of Duty action. For about 10 minutes that is. He came running out saying he heard a "POP" sound, saw some smoke from the adapter and then smelled some awesome burning electrical smell. I was able to confirm that the adapter smoked but in addition, the Xbox is now completely dead. No life from a completely functional Xbox factory original adapter.Naturally I did the thing that people should do and I reached out to Amazon for advice. They issued a refund and sent a return label within an hour. When I asked what I was supposed to do about the fact that my Xbox was now a door stop, they suggested I reach out to Ortz Gamez, which I then did. Complete and utter blow off. I think I got a copy/paste "I'm sorry you are having issues with our product" kind of thing but that was about as far as the recognition that it was entirely possible that their defective adapter killed my child's beloved piece of tech. I even offered to send the Xbox and adapter to them for them to investigate so they didn't think I was fishing for a freebie. Nothing. No compassion and no acknowledgement.So I pointed out that when I write this review, if I stop just 5 or 6 people from buying this product, it'd probably more than cover the price of a console repair. My guess is that this situation might be 1 in 100,000 but it happened and it could happen to you. And if it does, you are out a console and Ortz Gamez couldn't care less.

So far so good. Bought this as a replacement after old power supply went bad. The console works fine again, however not sure if its just because I'm used to the Xbox One, (We keep the 360 in the spare bedroom)but the console might be a bit slower. Additionally, the power brick is very loud. Loud enough to complete drown out the noise the console and my desktop computer make. Sounds like a boxfan running inside of the brick.Will update review if any problems arise. If a loud running power supply doesn't phase you, then I could recommend this.

This item worked fine and was quite, but didn't last long at all. It has been dead for at least 6 months, I'm just getting around to writing this review. All I can say is hopefully this isn't the norm because I need another one.

It works and the brick doesn’t get hot like the original one that came with the console, but the fan is LOUD. Good if you like white noise, bad if you don’t want to have to turn up the volume to hear your game.UPDATE Nov 8: Power brick has begun to make a loud whirring noise at start up. I have to hit it a couple times before it'll quiet down. Changing 3 star to a 2 star. Would not recommend this product.

I bought my Xbox Slim console at home in California where we use 110v for all electrical devices, but I needed an adapter that would work on 220v overseas. Even though most power bricks these days run 100 - 240v to use worldwide, the original power adapter that came from Microsoft did not. It is for USA only.I suppose Microsoft sells Xboxes outside of America, right? Of course they do, but they do not offer replacement adapters in a choice of voltage. End of story. So, I turned to Amazon, which is always wonderful but where some of the off-brand electronic gizmos you buy are, well, let's say not exactly guaranteed to work. (Though Amazon will of course replace them if they don't work).Lucky for me, I found this unit from Ortz, and it's been perfect. It's lightweight, so I'm not exactly sure if it's "built to last," but it's quiet, doesn't get too hot, and it works perfectly to run my Xbox when I'm traveling. The price was also fair, and the service has been great too.If you have an Xbox Slim model, and need an adapter that works worldwide, then you found it!
