Great sock! Perfect weight (not thin but not bulky either), no itch, overall great cushion, warmth and comfort. Striped pattern is fun and versatile. Will order more -- a bit expensive but worth it.

My sister gave me a pair of Smartwool socks and now I am hooked! They are comfortable and are beautifully sewn. They keep my feet nice and warm in the winter and they wash beautifully. I confess that I originally just used them with my hiking boots but they are so much better than regular fashion socks that I now wear them with all my shoes and boots all winter long. Yes, they cost more but they are so worth it!

My favorite socks! I love the colorful stripes. They aren't as heavy as the Jovian style, but are a good weight and keep my feet warm in my booties. The stripes show a bit above and the strategically placed red and green stripes add a touch of holiday when they peak out between my boot and pants leg. The stripes are right in style! Great quality. These launder nicely in the washer and dryer. I haven't experienced shrinkage. I wear an 8.5 and the medium fit perfectly. Well worth the price. I've already bought another pair.

I am a long time Smartwool fan, ever since my aunt gave me a pair for Christmas 20+ years ago. I love the Saturnsphere socks in particular and have been through many pairs -- they're pretty durable, but I wear them to death! My current crop of Saturnsphere socks was wearing through in the ball of the foot and the heel, so I bought several pairs to replace them. The new ones are still very nice socks, but they're not nearly as nice as they used to be.They've changed the wool blend at some point in the past few years, and I liked the softer feel of the old blend better. (The current crop of men's socks are slightly better feeling than the women's, but they're also a bit wider, which isn't great for me.) I also noticed that the pattern isn't as crisp as it used to be. The stripes don't line up perfectly like they do on the old socks. They did make the toe seam less noticeable, so that is one upside, but overall, I liked the old version of this sock a lot better.Now, I'm just starting to wear these new Saturnspheres, so I don't know if there are any upsides to the new wool blend. Maybe they'll be more durable than the old ones. Maybe they're warmer in winter. But so far, it really just seems like Smartwool decided to cheap out on making some very expensive socks. Boo!I know their current crop of thick hiking socks is still great, and I love their new thin compression socks. But for everyday socks, I may--gasp!--have to try some other brands.

You can't beat Smartwool socks for comfort, durability, or style. The Saturnsphere crews are no exception. My daughter needed warm winter crew socks for hiking. These socks have just the right amount of cushion and keep her feet comfortable on her 2 hour jaunts. Sometimes wool is scratchy. That is not an issue with Smartwool socks.From past experience we know their socks are made to last. There is no reason to think these won't last for years like others we own.

Smart Wool socks are long-lasting and comfortable. They keep your feet warm when it's cold, cool when it's warm, and dry at all times. They also last much longer than most other types of socks.The different styles of socks tend to run a bit odd on sizes. My first pair of Saturnsphere socks were mediums, as recommended (size 9 shoes). The heel tends to move under my foot, with the result that the sock wears out a little faster than it should. With my last pair, I ordered the large. Problem solved! The socks stay put, with the thicker heel area actually on the heel.

J'ai changé toutes mes chaussettes en merino, et je ne regrette rien. Smartwool produit des très bonnes chaussettes, mais moins robustes que Icebreaker. Ces chaussettes sont épaisses et douces, parfaite pour l'hiver.

Hmmm...also ich weiß nicht recht. ich trage seit seit vielen Jahren Smartwool Socken und vor allem die Saturnsphere, weil ich sie einfach so liebe. Ich dachte, och..10 Euro nur (black-malve) ? Da nehm ich doch gleich zwei! Aber was da kam, sah komisch aus, hatte eine ganz andere Verpackung als sonst, fühlte sich ganz seltsam plastik-mäßig an und ich lehne mich mal aus dem Fenster und behaupte, das sind nicht meine Smartwool Saturnsphere. Ich weiß nicht, ob sich das nur af meeine Farbwahl bezieht, denn die anderen waren eher normalpreisig.

Lovely socks, warm and comfortable. They were used on a hike and to sleep in. Very nice indeed - and I love the colours!
