Excellent!
I really like these a lot. Personally I like the fabric on these a lot better than the stock ear cups. The fabric covering that touches your head is smooth and soft like a jersey material as opposed to the kinda itchy material used on the stock ones. While these are very cool when you first put them on, I’m not really sure how much cooler they are after a few hours of gaming. Honestly I feel like the other ones maintain a lower temperature because of their breathability being filled with what I assume is an open cell foam instead of a gel like these.I didn’t buy these for their cooling effect though, I bought them because I wanted a different material other than the fuzzy somewhat itchy material they came with, and hopefully some added sound quality. These met both those needs. Keep in mind that since these are a different material, you may want to play with the EQ adjustments until you find the sound that suits you. Their website has a video that has some settings you can either download or just take a screenshot of and adjust your settings from the Astro app or the Dolby atmos app. Personally I think the sound quality improved after making a few adjustments. Better bass for sure. This headset has excellent sound to begin with though and with these ear cups it just takes them right over the peak of excellence.I really wish they made the replacement headband cushion to match with a fix to the notorious a50 gen 4 headband pad popping out that most of y’all are plagued with incuding myself.Overall the design is great and I wouldn’t mind picking up a few more pairs to swap them out every once in a while for a different look. The only downside was the shipping time. They took quite awhile to arrive but having ordered them right after Christmas that’s more or less to be expected. If you’re looking for a nice set of pads for your a50 then look no further because these are probably the nicest ones available. You won’t regret your purchase.

Good replacement but size makes charging a bit finicky
I have Astro A50 Gen 4. I used the official mod kid for a few years but the cuff material wore off and wanted a replacement. These cuffs are very similar in texture against the ears and sound quality/sound stage. That is - they do sound different than pure cloth replacements. This is exactly what I wanted and the sound is good to my ears. The memory foam does feel a bit stiff, especially compared to the original mod kit version. However, the stiffness was only noticeable for a moment. I've worn them for 8+ hours every day for a few days and noticed no issue. The one complaint is the size. They are slightly thicker than either the official mod kit version or the original cloth versions. This thickness results in the headphones not quite resting in the charging cradle. The two pads push against each other slightly and, possibly due to the memory foam, doesn't give in enough to let the headset charge. This can be overcome by gently pushing/holding the headset down in the cradle until you see the light come on for charging. They will stay in that position and charge. However, when I want to take them off to step away for a bit and set them down - it DOES take that extra 10 seconds or so to make sure they're seated properly. I'm hoping in time that they'll "break in" and this won't be an issue. But for now... I'll rate 4 out of 5.

Heavy duty
I’ll start by saying I literally just got my A50’s gen 4 for Xbox not even a week ago. Had 2 pairs of A40’s since the Xbox one, so I’m a big fan of them, came from turtle beach before. The factory ear cups are great, they don’t get hot necessarily, just kinda stay warm, but you never sweat wearing them. I like the fact that these have the leather outer and inner, less chance of it the fibers getting frayed over time like the stock. I bought them with the intent to try out the cooling factor of course but mainly to keep my stock ones in mint condition as a back up. First thing I noticed is they are definitely heavier than the others, i personally enjoy that, makes for a tighter fit, and the best part I’d say is it makes it almost twice as noise canceling for outside sounds. Now the sound is the main part of course, it does change it definitely. I’ve seen people say they don’t like it because it sounds muffled, the thing is, it creates a much better seal between the cup and your head, therefore; less sound dispersion, which causes a tremendous increase of bass. I’ve not been too pleased with the sound depth of the A50’s after coming from the A40’s with optical, but through a lot of tweaking the EQ on not only the Astro command center, but the Dolby access app as well, since it comes with Dolby Atmos, you can get is sounding very good for a wireless headset. Again I’m a fan of the bass so it sounds great to me, if it sounds muffled you may need to turn your bass down. I still use the optical cable with my base although I didn’t see a world of difference when I plugged it in like I did for the A40 mixamp. For anyone willing to go down this path, GadgetryTech has a perfect walkthrough of the EQ profiles for this specific earcup on YouTube, even used his code. The cooling factor is noticeable but not after too long I’d say, just take em off for a bit to charge and they will be cool again however. Overall, they do exactly what I bought them for so I can put 5 stars happily, we’ll see after the first week or so of use.
