So it worked after a bit of trial and error, but turns out not suitable for me. I read up and found that it doesn't need an external power source to work. This isn't entirely true.... For HDMI it doesn't need external power, for VGA it does need an external power supply, so if your laptop isn't powered by USB C then you need a separate power supply for the adaptor to run a VGA monitor. Out of the 2 VGA monitors I tested only the newer one worked. I don't know if this is a windows issue or due to the adaptor. Seemed to work ok with HDMI and for VGA with a power source if that meets your requirements hence 4 stars anyway...

the weight of the connections pulls it out of the socket. Has to be kept on a flat surface. I’m sure this happens with all sockets so not necessarily a fault of this one. I can now show on two separate monitors as-well as laptop screen.

I ordered this item to connect and extended by laptop screen to two supporting monitors. The product does the job and is so easy to use. It has two slots for HDMI, another one for USB type C and one for micro USB. The product is compact and provides good picture quality when used for screen extension, I could get the product at a discounted price and surely a value for money product, there are a few more in the market but those more expensive than this one. Overall happy with the product and hope it will last long & continue to do its job.

Only adapter I found to have both monitors working at the same time. Monitor that’s connected to VGA is 1920x1080@60Hz and monitor that’s connected to HDMI is 2560x1440@75Hz. Charging pass through works, USB works.I use it as laptop docking station for my Dell XPS 13 2021.It also works on my partners laptop - HP Envy x360 convertible from 2019 - the non thunderbolt model.Build quality seems superb and cable looks and feels durable.If anyone is wondering, I use it with UGREEN usb c 0.5m extension and there isn’t any noticeable signal degradation.Hope they keep making this product, 5/5 highly recommended!

This doesn't work with Nintendo switch for displaying on a TV or monitor... Using hdmi 2.1 cable and official power adapter.

Its a useful HDMI adapter to share the screens.Picture quality is good. Easy to use. Compatible for all the PC's.Easy to carry. No need of power.In fact its a good product and a very handy one.

I've tried several VGA + HDMI hubs on my Dell Latitude 5421 and this is the ONLY ONE that actually allows extended display across all three monitors (i.e. a different picture on each screen). The picture quality is excellent, as is the build quality. As a bonus, it's also much cheeper than all the others I tried :-)
