This is easily one of the best meat snacks on the market, overall. Great smokey taste, noticeable but not overwhelming heat, excellent and satisfying lean meat texture, and a terrific price at $16 for 28 ounces.You might be thinking it sounds good apart from the spice, so maybe the non-spicy Old Wisconsin beef snack sticks sound good... and sadly, you would be wrong. Those are terrible; they're mostly fat. I have a pack of them sitting in my refrigerator right now, and they were the biggest disappointment I've felt since the 1989 Grammy Awards, when Jethro Tull, which isn't even a heavy metal band, won the award for Best Heavy Metal Band over both Metallica and Faith No More.These Hot & Spicy Old Wisconsin (medium heat) beef snack sticks, though, are just awesome. The spice isn't the only difference; these are also made with nice lean meat. Highly recommended!

I especially like the spicy hot sticks! All have quite a bit of protein and good flavor: the Spicy Beef, the Beef, and the Turkey (my favorites, in that order). The Turkey has the least amount of calories, so it kind of makes up for being my third choice!

Tastes good, consistent flavor, for a good price.I took off one star because of packaging, while picking up a full bag from the fridge the bottom ripped open and dumped some meaty goodness onto the floor. When I say bottom, I mean the side opposite the zipper, and the rip was not at the seam but above it which was strange.

This is the best low calories snack I've had in ages. They have an amazing taste, are low heat (to me) and run their course in 2-3 hours.By "run their course" I essentially mean everything from stomach to colon is flushed out. Usually through several pit stops every 20-30 minutes. I'm not softy to spice, I love Ghost pepper and reaper. These are made with the gentle Serrano, Jalapeno and Red pepper. All of which I can snack on in their true form without a flinch.Whatever their special blend is here is incredible for weight loss snacks. I had 5 sticks around 11:30 am, and by 1:30pm I was completely empty, stomach to sphincter. My toilet sent a letter to HR demanding better working conditions.Overall these are exceptional. I can eat a whole bunch and not worry about the calories as they'll soon be gone.

I like meat sticks that are spicy but not over the top. If my stomach is going to burn for hours after it’s not worth it. These are perfect. They have the right amount of spiciness but it is not overwhelming. I have brought them to parties and even people who don’t like spicy food much like them, but people that like spicy food still like them. It is the right amount of spiciness to apparently make everyone happy. I am also a big buyer of the honey sticks from this brand so I might be bias but I can’t find meat sticks, other than the expensive ones at the high end meat markets that taste this good. For the price and size of the pack they are unmatched by anyone. I only wish they would start producing the spicy sticks in individually wrapped packs like they do with the turkey sticks. Maybe beef is harder to do this with or something but if I could get individually wrapped sticks of these it would be perfect since then I could actually keep them on hand without having to open a big pack. As of now I typically only buy them for parties because it is hard for me to eat that much meat by myself. But overall I highly recommend this product and I will continue buying it. I have been buying it for several years now and they always go well at parties and taste delicious.

These are really good. Nice little size and great spicy flavor. However, one of the bags I ordered was full of mold. The other 3 bags were fine, and all have an expiration date of Oct 2025.

These were tasty; spicy but not too hot. Will buy again.

I have been a fan of Old Wisconsin's "Sausage Snack Sticks" for quite some time, having tried and enjoyed various flavors both from Amazon and local stores. Unfortunately, my recent experience with the Hot & Spicy Snack Sausages was far from satisfactory.The Amazon packaging was undamaged, but I immediately noticed that the manufacturer's vacuum package appeared bloated. This was a concerning sign, as bloating typically indicates gases from spoilage, but I initially chose to refrigerate them to see if it was because the sausages were warm from sitting in a hot van. When I opened them, I immediately noticed that the sausages inside were moldy, which was both surprising and disappointing. Probably needless to say, they went straight into the trash.I have never had any issues with any of the other Old Wisconsin flavors I've purchased. It's disheartening that a brand I've come to enjoy would fall short in this instance. I had high expectations for the Hot & Spicy flavor, but, regrettably, this experience has left me hesitant to buy any more Old Wisconsin products particularly through Amazon.I noticed several other reviews mentioning mold, so I hope that Old Wisconsin takes note of these issues and addresses them promptly to maintain the trust of its customers. In the meantime, I would caution others who may be considering the Hot & Spicy Snack Sausages to be aware of the potential quality issues I encountered.
