Works welll, easy setup, not scary to cat
Just got today. 3rd microchip feeder I have tried. Super easy to program. Read microchip in 15 year old cat immediately. Opens and closes easily and cat not scared of closing like in other models. Like delay close available in training mode. Might just keep that on.

Great product
Terrific product. One of my cats cannot eat her sister’s food so I bought this to keep her out of her sister’s dish. Works great and is quiet. I had an issue with one after a year or more and customer service was great and replaced it. Batteries last a long time also. I recommend.

Works and worth the money!
Works wonders for our cat that needs constant access to food! The rest of our cats are fed at scheduled times, but our little lady only likes to nibble throughout the day. The boys will scarf down her food in an instant if it's left out. This solves that problem! She is able to eat enough to maintain her weight. I haven't been able to test the battery life just yet, but so far so good and I will update if it is disastrous. So far worth the money spent, cheaper than similar models, and works wonders at keeping out the cats that don't need the food! I have it paired to my cats microchip. I do not use the tag it came with.

It's a lot quite than the Surefeed feeder. Now to see if it lasts longer.
It works well so far with one of our cats, but it doesn't respond well to our other cats microchip. I think the location of the chip is too far away. We bought three surefeed feeders and two of them failed in the first two years. Thier web page isn't helpful enough. I hope this brand lasts longer since it's not as complicated covering the food. The motor system failed on both of the surefeeds that open the lids. Not worth the value.

Perfect for my situation
I have two cats. One older, and one is a kitten. The kitten would drive the older cat off from his food and he was losing weight. I bought this in an attempt to keep the little one from stealing all the older cats food. When I got it in the mail, it was easy to set up. My cat didn't have a microchip inside him already, so I used the collar microchip that came with it. Just make sure you follow the instructions specifically on how to hang it around their neck. It does matter. I've been using this for a month now and it works great! My cat is able to fit his big head inside of it, too. I just had to take the plastic shields that came with it on either side off. It's quick enough to close after my cat is done where the kitten usually doesn't have enough time to get into the bowl. My only worry was that there's no shut off in case the kitten has his head already in there when it closes. But it's fast enough for that's not a problem for me. It's really easy to take the bowl out and clean it too. It leaves very little mess on the device itself. I haven't even had to clean it yet. However, it looks like it would be easy to take the cover off and clean it too. If you have a situation similar to mine, I highly recommend this device.

Very Disappointed with the Functionality and Price of the SureFeed Microchip Feeder!
I purchased the Sure Feed Microchip Pet Feeder for my cat. I will share the good and the not so good about my experience with this product...Design: I must admit the SureFeed Microchip Feeder is well built and they thought of everything, other than the fact that the size (width) is way too big for just one cat. My other cat can get in and eat alongside the cat it is set for. I wish they had thought of a way to make it narrower or had provided snap on guards to narrow the opening to prevent a second cat from pushing their way in alongside the intended cat when eating.Functionality: I also have had issue with it constantly closing on my cat. When my cat approaches the feeder, it opens as expected. Then, while the cat is there eating (without moving away, which is what triggers it to close), the door keeps trying to close on my cat, hitting my cat in the head; it does this repeatedly back-to-back. When it does that, it simply reopens, but it is not supposed to do that while the cat is in there eating.Price: Lastly, although they thought of some nice extras/features, you have to pay for them, and they are pricy. It is not enough that you pay over $200 for the feeder alone, but additional bowls cost $23 each and the rear cover, which prevents other pets from being able to access food from the back side (because of the open design), is $53. By the time you are purchase the necessities, you are paying close to $300 for this feeder. I also own a MiBowl Microchip Feeder for my other cat. That feeder cost me just under $200 and it is designed to be all enclosed (so no need for a rear cover) and it includes snap on shields that adjust the width of the feeder so no other pets can sneak in alongside the intended cat. I love that feature, especially since we have a new kitten that is small. She uses the feeder just fine and as she grows, we can simply remove the snap on guards when they are no longer needed. I have owned the MiBowl now for 3-4 years and it works great. I have never had a problem with it!Overall, I cannot recommend the SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder. I am very disappointed in the design and functionality of this product. I plan to buy two additional microchip feeders for my other two cats, but they will not be SureFeeds. ☹

My Cat's a security pass now
The media could not be loaded. It took a little bit of adjustment for my cat Cali to get used to the new feeder, but it has been so helpful after she did! Her sister Luci kept eating her food, no matter where I put it, but this has helped to fix that issue. There has been one instance of Luci knocking the food dish over because she thought it was a puzzle for her to figure out, but she has only done that once lol. This is a great option for cats who can't/don't wear collars too! My cat Cali is very skiddish, so i appreciate not having to have her adjust to two new things. It was easy to set up the reader so it only read Cali as well.

Doesn’t pick up dog chip
While I love this to keep my cat out of the dogs food. This does not work with my dogs chip. It does register and save it but after that no matter how much we tried it wouldn’t open. He would have to stay there way too long and then he’d walk away. Works perfect with the chip they give that goes on a collar. We just didn’t Want to do that bc we never keep a collar on our dog.
