SmittyBilt JL XRC FLAT FLARES - SB77837

Pros: Fit and seal are solid, coating was well done with no chips, simple bolt on installation with very basic tools (use common sense and bolt patterns), blinkers are distinct and the swap from white to amber is nice. Cons: instructions look terrible (look up the pdf on smittybilt for colored instructions) and feel like steps are missing, included nutsert/rivnuts required drilling... Do Not Drill and instead just go to Napa and buy the proper size (or any hardware store). Final thoughts: They look and feel great, if you can get it on sale it's even better ($118 when they were 70% off on Amazon is a killer deal for all 4 with lights), light install is plug and play so it's super simple, fits 2 door jl perfectly. Amazing product for the money. Extremely durable. Install isn’t that bad if you have the right tools. Fits well. Looks great.

I'm only giving them three stars because the installation instructions suck I pretty much had to just figure things out on my own and I have a ton of extra stuff that I have not a clue where it's supposed to go other than that they are great once I got everything figured out they weren't that bad to install and they look fantastic on Casper my 2020 wrangler Sahara unlimited

So ill start with the bad points, poor instruction, unorganized hardware. Well worth the money, Very well packed, great presentation and excellent quality. The lights are common sense, just plug them in an go. The running lights work great and work as forward and side turn signals on the JL. Comes with all the hardware plus 50 screws and some M8 bolts an nuts that aren't needed an if they are then the instructions didn't say they are, or where they are. Make sure to have a friend to help, definitely not a one person job. Can be done but sucks. You will need 8mm, 10mm (i used my impact with attachments) pri for the plastic stoppers, angle grinder or saw for steel, and a Allen key bit for the screws with about 8" extention for quickness. Otherwise you will be there a while with the Allen key. And a drill bit to enlarge some holes, for the crush nuts. Optional would be something for the crush nuts as the added tool strips the nuts a little.

Love the look of these fenders. Install took about three hours with my husband and myself doing it. Do buy yourself a rivnut tool to save some trouble. For the price you can’t beat them. I had them powder coated to match the paint.

Great price considering they’re $429 on the SmittyBilt website, watch a YouTube video for help. Get the right tools and make life easier, I bought a 16”Hand Rivet Nut Tool off Amazon and really helped out.

Only 3 stars because the hardware package and directions suck. Yes, that bad. The fenders had weld spatter and cone build up left attached to a weld.Directions were misleading and hard to read.wth a little ingenuity I was able to get them on and they look good.would not recommend to others because of hardware and instructions.
