Men's Weekender 40mm Watch

After wearing watches sparingly my whole life, I decided recently to commit to wearing a watch long-term. I eventually decided upon this 40mm Timex Weekender, and I couldn’t be happier. The Weekender is a simple, medium-sized piece in the style of a field watch with no additional complications. Pressing the crown will activate Timex’s signature “Indiglo” lume, which is bright enough that you can easily read the face in pitch black conditions. Military time is displayed underneath the larger 12-hour digits, which is convenient. The navy blue face against the tan leather strap gives this watch a distinct look that stands out. The case is chrome plated to resemble the appearance of stainless steel. I’ve received more compliments on this $40 watch than I can remember. The watch features a quartz movement, meaning it will maintain time consistently and accurately for years to come with very little deviation. My watch hasn’t lost a single second. To any newcomers to watches: this author strongly recommends a quartz watch as your first watch and an automatic as your second so that you may learn to enjoy and appreciate the nuances and strengths of both. The provided adjustable leather strap is comfortable and durable on the wrist, but can be easily swapped out for a NATO or stainless steel band if desired. Much has been made in other reviews about the loudness of the second hand as it ticks around the watch. This is extremely exaggerated. When I received the watch, I was surprised when I remembered it was supposedly a loud nusiance. The tick is so soft I can only really hear it if I hold the watch to my ear, or if the room is extremely quiet and the watch is right next to my bed. As a first watch or even for an experienced watch collector, this is a real winner for the price. Timex has been making watches for a very long time, and for around $40 you are getting a lot of bang for your buck. I highly recommend this watch.

If you like to wear business casual (jeans), this is your watch, it goes perfect with a pair of light jeans and indigo jacket, matches EASILY almost all tones of light brown shoes and it is as comfortable as it gets. Indiglo works great, it's kinda hard to read for me due to my color blindness (the light inverts the screen color) so I have to put it quite close to my face but overall this is a lovely timepiece. I also have the black/cream chronograph and that one is perfect for each outfit, this one needs to matching but if you do it right, it will look amazing. Pros: - Lightweight yet sturdy. - High quality genuine leather strap (smells fantastic when new). - Indiglo works fantastic (for non color blinds). - Accurate (+/- 2 seconds a day). - Long lasting battery and easy battery change, although I have to mention that you will NOT be able to close this watch by hand, your best bet is to take it to any watch store and they'll do it for you, the have special equipment for this. Cons: - Simple packaging, mine came in a box so it was fine but I could not imagine what will happen if it was shipped inside an envelope, Timex could use some thicker cardboard. - It is 40mm but wears smaller, this is perfect for my baby wrists but if you have bigger ones, you might need to go for a bigger one. - Noisy, probably the only significant one, it is loud but if you put in a drawer or watch box it will fine.

First off, it solid at keeping, only varying by a completely unimportant few seconds over a week. It looks good, although I replaced the light leather strap with a single-layer pass-through type leather strap made of much darker leather, which I prefer the looks of. When I wore this to work one day, a colleague joked in a small meeting in a small room that I was carrying a time-bomb. The ticking is VERY NOTICEABLE. I'm not saying it's loud to the extent it will hurt your ears or be heard all the way across a large room, but my wife commented on it while we were driving on the highway, if that tells you anything. I tune it out, but would prefer a watch others don't find distracting. I don't know WHY this thing has to be so loud--almost like Timex does it for fun. (However, the more expensive version of the Weekender with a magnified date window is silent. I returned one of those when it was keeping time erratically. No such problems with this fellow, however.) As a result, as the name implies, I wear this on the weekend.

This watch is great. Arrived quickly, inside 24 hours. Of all the watches I have had over the years, Timex is probably the most reliable and practical. Timex was very popular when I was growing up in the sixties. The brand was known for its toughness, reliability, and low cost. The Indiglo feature was later added, which is practical in any type of darkness. I was also glad to find a brand that offered watches without a calendar. Calendars constantly need to be adjusted, and who needs them? I don't need a calendar on my watch to remind me of the date. I can see that being a possible military need, but not for the average person. These watches make a great gift, and they will last forever.

Purchased multiple times for multiple men. lol they all loved them and most importantly I continued to buy the watch over and over again for different guys, cause I love the watch so much. Will buy again for future boyfriend/boyfriends. 😂. (And all ex’s still own and love it! ) 💀

仕事で持ち歩く時計はいつもこの値段帯のTIMEXを買ってます。 文字盤がとても見やすく時間がほぼズレない、電池持ちがとても良いので満点だと思っています。 お値段もお買い得ですし見た目も自分は気に入っています。

Good looking watch, bit loud when you have it next to your bed at night so just stick it in a drawer or something

Es el mejor reloj que he tenido pues antes use el Apple Watch y relojes mecánicos pero para mi eran muy impracticos. Por ello compré este Weekender que esta listo en todo momento, es muy cómodo y versátil. El INDIGLO que trae es fantástico para ver la hora en la noche sin tener que usar el celular y arruinar tu sueño. Además cambiarle correas complementa el gustom por los relojes, Yo lo deje completamente en azul. Mi estilo aumentó 5%, por eso me he comprado otros relojes de la marca (todos con INDIGLO)

文字通り仕事の無い週末に使っています。 普段使い用の時計としては最高ですね。やや大きめのベゼルにシックな色合いの文字盤。とても美しい時計です。 ただ一点、針が意外と細いので読みづらく感じる時があります。針の色がメッキ色という事もあるのかも知れませんね。 ちなみに「ライトが暗い」という意見も見ますが、ライトを使うのはかなり暗い中でだけなので、視認性は十分高いと思います。
