Falling in Art Plaster of Paris, 1lb

I loved this! I’m a (new!) middle school science teacher, and while learning about the fossil record, I wanted to give my kids something fun to take away from this. We used some fossils, playdoh, and this to make molds and imprints. My kids loved it, and they felt like it was a valuable lesson.

This will be good for getting mom’s footprints in plaster Paris. She was a little girl when she was outside walking and wet cement so there are footprints nearby so I would like to get them put in and make them a little art project having sitting where mom was. Before she passed.

Harden’s very fast. Does not allow much moulding time.

I bought this plaster for a home decorating project and I was honestly surprised at how easy it was to work with. I used it to secure some artificial flowers in a base so they would be firmly in place and stable. Then I placed that base inside a decorative vase, and the result was very pretty and sturdy. The mixture is quite smooth and easy to work with if you follow the correct proportions with water. I also liked that it dries relatively quickly and helps keep everything firmly in place. After drying, the material feels firm and strong. The texture is also quite smooth and clean. The package lasts quite a while for several small projects, and I found it very practical for crafts and home decorating.

What can I say but I expected plaster and I got plaster

I mixed this with the 3:4 ratio and it seemed like it would be runny enough to easily pour into a tray mold. Unfortunately, the first 2 seconds of the pour went great until a more dense blob plopped onto the mold and it went downhill from there. What I wanted was for the mixture to pour like pancake batter into the mold and spread out evenly leaving a smooth top, but I had to spread it out with my fingers and try to smooth it out best I could. Although I *thought* I calculated the correct ratio, I picked up the tray 2 days later and the side broke off. I have never had this issue with other mediums but who knows, maybe there is something I would learn by working with it more, but I'm not going to. I won't be buying this again, I find ArtPlaster to be a better medium for me and what I am trying to do with it.

This is a great plaster of Paris if you're trying to do something that you need to set and you needed to set quick so that it's hard and ready to go! I've never used plaster of Paris and I'll tell you this is the best one after 24 hours it was rock hard and it's didn't take two or three minutes for it to be ready to set so you can make it horrible or you can make it a little thicker to use as a grout on Mosaic but better be ready to just use it because it sits instantly

Great value for the money. It dries extremely quickly so you have to work fast and don't try to add extra water to get extra product out of it because it'll only weaken the end result. But when it's mixed correctly, it hardens beautifully and the end result is a smooth solid product.

Easy to mix good instructions worked well for what we needed. 1lb doesn't go that far order more than you think you need. 1 bag made 3 small baby handprints.

Very good

Tried to make a temporary veneer cover and it melts easily. You can reheat to fix the shape. It does look extra white but it can be dyed to to look closer to your actual teeth color. You will need to learn on refining the shape. Take a bit of learning curve but its easy to work with
