These tools were more than I could have ever imagined. This is the first product review I’ve ever done after years of being a Prime member. These tools cut through the wood like butter, and is used them on sever variations of wood from soft wood to the hardest American hardwood. I am Turkey call maker and these made my job so much easier. If I could be a representative for this product I would be. I am amazed at how well they cut. These tools are a fraction of the price, compared to other on the market. I have made my money back on strikers already. I will buy these over and over again. You will not find a better set of tools in this price ranges.

I was skeptical before I bought them. They are the best woodturning tools I have ever bought. They're worth the purchase.

I am thoroughly impressed by this gouge. It is very well packaged. The product works flawlessly. This order arrived 5 days faster than most I receive. Amazing!

The price is decent compared to others. The tools cut well and have a convenient carry case. It's a bit of a pain having to swap out the different cutters as it only has one handle and the extension bar can't be used as a second handle. My biggest issue, and this needs to be fixed. The round cutter tools (detail cutter and swam neck hollower) the screws holding the bits in are just a bit too long and can get caught on the top rest causing you to cut deeper than intended at times or getting nasty catches. I had to put some very small washers in there to fix the problem.

these carbide tips are small, but they really work great, and I dont have to hone them. I still use my old gouge for roughing in, then take over with these. moving the handle from one to the other when switching is the only negative so far, but thats just a minor detail.

I bought these for my husband and he loves them. He states that they, "Really stay sharp, cut like mad, and are well made."

I just tried these tonight. This is my first set of carbide turning knives, so it took a little getting used to, but in just a couple a minutes, I found myself more comfortable with this tool than I ever was with my high speed carbon knives. The tool started rattling a little, but I just tightened the end cap and the rattle went away. Used them for about 30 minutes. Very good experience.

Who runs a lathe with their shirt off, WHO?!?Despite the worst marketing ever, I’m EXTREMELY happy with these tools. The case is nice, the handle is really nice, the cutting rods are very quick and easy to change and I’ve wrenched the set screws really hard and haven’t stripped one yet.$55 should worry you for what you get, but these tools are worth every penny and then some.

Habe vor kurzem zum ersten mal gedrechselt und dabei vier Becher produziert, zwei aus Espe und zwei aus Eiche. Die Möglichkeit die Werkzeuglänge zu justieren ist recht praktisch und die Möglichkeit die Klingen zu tauschen wird in der Zukunft sicher noch nützlich.

I've heard of people looking down on carbide scraper / cutters when used in place of traditional gouges. For me, being new to turning, this tool has kept me interested whilst I practise and try to improve with the other tools. The handle plus extension is comparable in length to a quality bowl gouge and the provided cutters have kept their edges (mostly used the circular one so far) very well.The steel cutter holder fits into the handle and fixes in place with grub screws, which isn't the most convenient for quick changes.The long, blue, screw together aluminium handle isn't as nice to hold as a solid wooden handle.But it looks very cool and does what it needs to well enough that a newbie like me can actually turn the kind of nice pieces, that I'm not yet able to achieve with gouges and chisels.So for me it's a game changer.

After some research into turning resin I found that I needed some carbide tools to get the best results. Not wanting to spend hundreds on something I wasn't too sure about I opted for this set and I have to say they are fantastic for the money. Super sharp and solid connection between the blade shafts and handle. These are basically 'idiot proof' and I would highly recommend them.
