Car Van Bike Tyre Black 20 - 42 PSI Pressure Guards Valve Dust Caps

Having looked into several of this type of item, it seems that the usual downfall is that the pressure has to deviate a lot from the pre-set of the device before giving any indication. These ones differ in a major way by having no pre-set pressure: inflate the tyre to the correct pressure then put the device onto the valve (firmly) and it sets itself to that pressure as being it correct setting. Previous reviews have said that it will begin to indicate with a loss of around 2psi, which I cannot either verify or deny as they have not been in use long enough. The lack of a pre-set pressure seems a very sound approach and so far I am impressed. They will, of course, reset themselves if removed and then refitted so seem a very worthwhile buy.

Seems a good product, but the depth of the pin in the valve wouldn't activate it. May have been my tyres, but gave to a friend in the end as too much trouble to return. I did phone there helpline and was told to return so no complaints there, but maybe they need to change the design slightly

not as reliable as hoped as it is affected by tire temperature and you need to look closely to check the pressure gauge

they do not work on all tyres..I purchased them for my motorbike but they did not work , I then tried them on my lawn mower which was close to hand and again they did not display a reading and finally I tried them on my car, this time they did work but as my car has in dash tyre pressure monitoring system they were not a lot of good to me. a pity because I have used similar before and when they work properly they are a great asset for a motorbike which can be very fiddly to connect an airline just to check your tyre pressure.
