Does this product contain alcohol? I own it and I’m just curious.

I don’t think so. I will tell you this that it doesn’t stick at first. You need to let it breathe a lil. It’s old and has been sitting in storage. They need to put a expiration date.

Why do I buy this sometimes and it’s great, and sometimes it doesn’t smell at all?

Try warming it up first then see if there is a scent when rolled on. I don't mean over a stove but sometimes mine has sat in sunlight and warmed up. Makes it smell beautiful!

Is this a real thing or a knock off? I see comments, the product has no scent at all? What is the deal with the overwhelming negative comments?

I don't know what it is, but for the price of course, it is not the real deal. Some smell better than others. I would stay away from sandalwood. I don't think they know what sandalwood is supposed to smell like. I have been happy with most of their products. However, I think it depends on the blend. Also, I have never not had one of their products "not" have a scent. If anything, they are too strong.
