Unpretentious scissors, ideal for cut flowers. I was given my first set with a larger in store purchase. Ever since, guests at our house have noticed them and found them superb. They are light handy and seem sturdy as we have had our first pair for many years already. We do not use them for much else so the use case is a bit limited. However, they are better than any other scissors we have (or secateurs for that matter) to cut flowers in my view.As we noticed all the people who loved them when visiting, we thought they would do great little gifts and they are not to be that easily found (it is not something everyone has) so despite being reasonable, people still felt this is special. We were quite successful with these as little presents. For ourselves we would of course buy them again. Highly recommended.

I still use my 25-yr old Henckel Flower Shears, but they could use a good sharpening. These shears look almost the same and are as sharp as my old ones were originally. I do not use my "flower" shears to cut twigs or other deciduous material. These will last you a long time if you use them as intended. I have many Henckel knives as well, I've been a fan of their products for over 35 years.

Of course to extend the life of the flowers I give them fresh cuts during the week when I change the water.
