Review: 07/12/2023This is an excellent model to build, however there are things you need to be aware of.Firstly the manual is ok, it does give good visual instructions, however I found on a piece that is flat with 3 studs it has 2 vertical studs there that go outside the brick, is also one that is flat the same length that has studs vertically below rather than the one above. There is one spot in the manual, where you need the one with the raised and the next has the studs below, however the diagram shows a large image of 'above' but doesn't have another image for the change over.I had 2 long flat pieces which was an 8 stud flat and a 6 stud flat, but they were left over and after checking the area that I thought they were used I could not see where I missed them from.A friend has had problems with the missing spindle for the base cogs, however customer service is excellent, tracking is provided immediately via Yun, but be prepared to wait 2-3 weeks for delivery.I had none of the above issues, apart from the 2 left over pieces and the usual tiny pieces that are duplicates and not used.I got to bag 3 to do the LED bulb, but when I removed the paper strip, the bulb failed to light (due to one battery acid corrosion, however as stated their customer service is excellent, and they replied immediately and shipped a new brick/bulb which will would be 2-3 weeks delivery. The listing says under product details on Amazon that 2 x LR44 included, however they are NOT LR44, but LR41, which are smaller and hold more power. I had already ordered LR44, but have now had to order new LR41's even though the LR44's are due to arrive today. The LR44 are larger than LR41s so make sure if your batteries are dead or fail order LR41. I have requested Amazon to change the details, I managed to clean the existing batteries and they work now and they can be changed if they eventually go flat (there is a small screw underneath), the seller (or Amazon) have updated the listing to use LR41, sadly disaster struck as the metal contact where the worst green corrosion was , caused the metal contact (its just a springy metal plate) snapped at the piece with the opposite contact, so they won't reach each other, so I have to wait for the new replacement bulb.When fitting the bulb, make sure the the brick with no spindle hole faces down the lighthouse to the base, and the black brick supplied with the + fits the spindle. This leaves the bulb + access facing the roof, which is where the roof of the lighthouse connects with its + spindle.To operate the the lighthouse, you have to (1) turn the disc on the base of the model in the direction of arrow and (2) press the roof down to light the LED, there is NO PERMANENT OFF/ON for the LED. Remember this is NOT the full size model like its 'counterpart' so its not motorised, and you have to turn the bulb on its spindle manually.- Full update to follow with pictures once the LED is working -

I’ve wanted the Lego Lighthouse since I saw it advertised but I couldn’t justify the £260 price. If I’m honest I was a bit dubious about this set as it looked good but was over £200 less!!!The previous reviews all seemed positive but they were Vine reviews so I’m always a bit skeptical! Still I thought I would give it a go and hoped it would be okay.The set is EXCELLENT!The instruction booklet is very clear, just like the leading brand, and the pieces fit together well. You even get a tool for separating the bricks if you go wrong. This is often not the case with imitation sets so I was very pleased. If I’m honest I did have two pieces that weren’t formed 100% but it didn’t affect the set and I could hide them too.The lighthouse is smaller than the Lego one and is more of a display piece rather than a set that can be played with but that suited me. In fact I prefer this set, particularly because of the price, but the open book design is great too!I would definitely recommend this for AFOLs!

Very nice quality of bricks, went together easily and created a very sturdy structure. The manual spinning mechanism isn't great, it's slow and a little janky. The light up part is very cute and overall ita very nice. I'm not sure if £40 was a good price for it though.

This is a nice kit, looks good. It has the ability to add a motor as there is a connection point for one (I used the motor from the big official legp lighthouse). However the light brick provided did not work. This is very disappointing as what is a lighthouse without its light. I bought a replacement on on Ebay. The manufacturer HAS to resolve this issue and provide a better light.

There are around 40 tiny pieces left over, BUT there are also at least 6 larger pieces missing from the set / bags.I bought this because I collect lighthouses. I thought it would be an interesting item which I could spend time building. But unfortunately it is very annoying to find out that whilst there are loads of tiny pieces, which are not needed and are I assume 'spare parts'. There are larger pieces that are missing from the bags. From set 1 (the sea and base) there are 3 pieces missing, at least 1 of which is structural, from set 2 (the island) there is 5 pieces missing, and from set 3 (the house and lighthouse) there are at least 5 larger pieces missing, most of which are at the rear of the lighthouse and rear walls of the house.For the price I paid I would expect that all the pieces would be in the bags These points being made, I did enjoy building it and as you can see, it does light up. Though I wish there was an easier way to turn the light on and off than physically taking it to pieces to pull the light block up so it's not activated.Edit: The above issues have been resolved at no expense to me by the seller. Their customer service is excellent.

It's a beautiful product, however all the see through pieces are missing so can't finish it

The item was great all parts there and the instructions were easy to follow

Update: Eventually found out how to contact seller through Amazon & they have sent me the missing pieces & a working light block. Can't fault the seller's customer service.Started building this and there were missing pieces in the first bag.The light block also doesn't work.Would have been a great build if everything present and working
