This a great value. It’s a very sturdy product and they’ve fixed an issue on earlier models where the foam handle sleeve wasn’t glued on.

It's a great stabilizer with smooth movements and the feel of it is very robust.. I would totally recommend this stabilizer if you're open to spend a little extra on a chest & arm kit like myself. I bought this product knowing it would be heavy, which is a good thing as long as you have something to support the weight. (Or if you got a smaller kamera with much less extra weight) This would also work great if you're someone who works with kameras within a shorter than normal timeframe. (Someone who does product reviews for example) where you're looking for great performance but dont really care about longer use. I would not recommend this to someone new to videography who has a limited budget of around £200, trust me. There's much more you should be looking at first. Overall I think it's worth the money spent, if you know beforehand what you're getting yourself in to. If you're looking to spend just a tiny bit more after the stabilizer, I would recommend the Flycam wrist support, which takes a lot of the pressure of your wrist and transfers it to the elbow area. Pros: + Feels premium + Smooth + Nice improved handle (now it's secured in place instead of being lose) which shows Flycam listens to the buyers feedback. + Nice little case (even though I don't use it myself) + Looks great (very eye catching in a good way) + Lots of extra weights + Easy to attach a monitor or other accessories on bottom plate + Manfrotto styled quick release Cons: - Heavy - a bit stiff (can be a good thing depending on your style) - 2 screws holding down the head (could also be a good and bad thing depending on style of transport you prefer) - No extra space for other items in the case

I've tried all sorts but I can't get either my Sony a7ii nor my a6300 to balance perfectly on this so I end up with a slight ships deck movement in it. I've tried all sorts of tutorials on YouTube from professionals who use these all the time. It's well made but it can be made from gold and if it can't stabilise properly it's only going to be good for weigh in. I'll have another go when I've got lots of time to experiment more with it but I tried several times over a few months with the same result. I know these gimbals take more practice so we'll see, but in hindsight I'd have been better hiring a Ronin S. I can't recommend this product at the moment and I do wonder if it's my inexperience with mechanical gimbals that's at fault. So three stars for now. I wouldn't pay the £205 I paid for it. More like half that at the most.

I use Flycam HD2000 a year ago and its a bit shaky, but Flycam Redking is much better and I saw the improvements from the first time. Great copy of Devin Graham Signature Series, well build and stable Flycamredking its good to handle a heavy equipment with a good practise.

Kurzes Review: Ich habe die Flycam Redking jetzt schon seit 2 Monaten und bin sehr zufrieden: Die Flycam selbst ist wie eine Glidecam, nur um ein vielfaches günstiger. Ich benutze eine Kamera, die zwei Kilo wiegt und habe somit 6 Gegengewicht Platten dran. Perfekt Ausgeglichen steht das absolut fest in der Luft. Sie besteht aus sehr robusten, hochwertigen Material und ist echt stabil. Ich habe sie bis jetzt schon bei vielen Videos oder Projekten benutzt und komme inzwischen sehr gut mit ihr klar. Also eine absolute Empfehlung für Menschen, die smoothe Videos möchten! Langes Review, bzw. Technische Daten: Die Flycam kommt in einer extra Tasche. Die Tasche mit allem wiegt 5,5Kilogramm. Die Flycam selbst wiegt ohne Gegengewicht Platten 1,7 Kilo. Der Stabilisator besteht aus der eigentlichen Stange, dem Fuß, wo die Gewichte drauf kommen, und dem Kopf, den man mit zwei zusätzlichen Schrauben anschrauben muss. Das ist leider ein Nachteil, weil es sehr lange dauert, bis man die kleinen Schrauben in die Löscher reingefriemelt bekommt. Deswegen ist das etwas unpraktisch, das ding oft auseinander zu nehmen und zusammen zu bauen. Deswegen transportiere ich meistens den Stabilisator so mit mir und baue ihn nicht extra auseinander. Der Kopf des Stabilisators besitzt noch zwei Feinabstimmregler, um Millimeter genau die Kamera von der Position her anzupassen. Darüber haben wir eine Schnellwechselplatte mit zwei Schrauben zur Auswahl. Eine ¼ und eine 3/8 Schraube. Die Flycam kommt mit unglaublichen 16 Gegengewicht Platten die zusammen 1,5 Kilo haben. Die Mindestbelastbarkeit liegt bei 600g, und die Maximale Belastbarkeit bei 7 Kilogramm. Ich kann die Flycam Redking nur empfehlen, da man für einen verhältnismäßig günstigen Preis eine sehr gute, hochwertige "Glidecam" bekommt, die für sehr smoothe, steady Shots sorgt! El producto viene muy bien empaquetado, con buena calidad de materiales. Lo devolví porque no es exactamente lo que busco. La relación en todo momento con la empresa fue rápida y fluida. Me hicieron la devolución sin problema.

I've owned a couple other gimbals, namely the Flycam HD-3000 and the Glidecam HD1000. This one is definitely the best of the three. I've been using it for about two months now. PROS: 1. Construction - Solid, feels durable, looks very sharp. Nice Labels on the adjustment knobs make it way easier to know which way you're moving the plate. Not having this always bugged me about the Glidecams. So many great little details make it a breeze. Adjustable gimbal with rulers - what a great idea! 2. Operation - Very easy to setup, and had it stable with my GH5 within 10 minutes. 3. Price - This gimbal blows away any that I've seen in it's price range. Parker Walbeck has a great comparison video in which it holds its own against the $799 DGS Glidecam, and they've improved the design somewhat since then. 4. Comes with Quick Release Plate - Low and mid range Glidecams don't come with one, you have to buy an aftermarket one from Neewer or Manfrotto or some other brand, and the screws may or may not align properly with the cheese plate. Just a hassle. CONS: 1. Weight - This stabilizer is noticeably heavier than most other manual stabilizers. I have not yet used it in any long shoots, so that hasn't been a big deal to me. All in all, a great piece of equipment, and the extra 1.5 lbs is well worth it for the money saved on this as opposed to the DGS Glidecam. I highly recommend it and would buy again.

This may be a near carbon copy of Glidecam's Devin Graham Signature but at less than half the price it's a beautiful addition to any independant filmmaker's arsenal. I've been working with a few difference handheld stabilisers and shoulder mounts before and this is a fantastic addition to that arsenal. As someone who has shot live events before it may very well replace them all. The balancing is smooth and almost effortless and it's very easy to configure a proper "drop time" with the friction lock movable gimbals. The construction feels sleek and very sturdy. High grade aluminium and anodised markings, including the marked position numbers for the gimball. The weights are very dense and I found I only needed 3 on each side to properly balance my Canon 5D3 (even less for a Canon Rebel or smaller mirrorless camera). Barely even extended the telescopic portion of the pole. I've also had the opportunity to utilise this on larger camera setups (SONY FS7) and balancing only required one extra set of weights and I could easily accomplish the rest with the telescopic pole and adjustable gimbal. It was quite the chore to handhold the rig, and could manage only short takes, but served very well for camera movements while substituting (though not necessarily replacing) jibs, cranes and dollies. The newly designed quick release tripod plate fits my manfrotto tripods and even just makes the stabiliser easier to store and transport. Simply slide off the camera and slide it back on. The tripod plate has numbered markings of it's own so you can properly align the plate where you last balanced the system. Don't be discouraged if your shots don't turn out the smoothest at first. The system responds to movement very easily and you always have to be compensating the system to maintain a perfect horizon line (note that camera sway is much more noticeable when shooting landscapes, when you can see the horizon). It takes a lot of practice but luckily there's a lot of good folks who have made easy to follow tutorials, include the glidecam maestro, Stefan Czech (check him out!).
