TFA 30.5010 Klima Guard Digital Thermo-Hygrometer

I really like this device. It can display both the temperature and the relative humidity at the same time. We don't use any of the more sophisticated modes in my family. This one has been working for a couple of years, we still like it. The memory for minimum and maximum temperatures is useful for checking how cold the kids' bedroom gets at night.

Not German made as advertised, The box clearly states Made for TFA Germany in PRC. Nice enough unit with a big and clear display. Seems accurate and responsive, I will update the review in a few weeks. Happy with it but have deducted one star as I was expecting German manufacture.

This product was recommended to me by damp expert Peter Ward. It measures the dew point and it certainly has been a great device in understanding the humidity levels inside my home. Easy to use, quick delivery and very efficient.

My brother-inlaw recomended this exact item for a similar problem of mould build up. I've been struggling with high hymidity with Victorian Solid walls causing mould. It is now very obvious when the hymidity is climbing to saturation levels and with combined with my other research i basically keep the temperature at 19-20degC and hymidity below 60% through opening windows for a while. Mould problems are staying away so far.

A little clunky in design, but its easy to use, see and read, displaying the current temperature and humidity. Has several Modes of use. SIlver grey outer plastic frame with black inner perimeter, then the grey screen with black LED digits, etc. 5 buttons for Mode control, etc. The product picture shows it well. HWD is 106 x 106 x 25 plus a stand base. Can be wall or free standing mounted. Seems accurate, but I don't have the means to check it.

This is a very nice, well-made Hygrometer and I've tried a few. Although I have always found it reads slightly higher than many of my others, it’s not such a problem in that it works best as a tool to show "change" or "variation". For those homeowners suffering damp a hygrometer is much more effective than a damp meter. If you experience high humidity (70% relative and above) then you have a problem with moisture and you are risking mould growth and damage to the fabric of your property. Find the source of the water, fix the problem that's causing the water ingress (and don’t be fooled into thinking you need chemical injection and waterproof plaster), and in-theory you should notice the humidity drop. Be warned, this process can take many money months or in my case up to 1 year. The process can be speeded up or at least controlled by the use of a dehumidifier, and Trotec do a fantastic range. Bought this on recommendation from Heritage House website, and have been so impressed with the results. We had a significant problem battling damp in our house and because of Heritage House were able to conclude it was definitely condensation damp. We had been using a dehumidifier on and off, but were never sure how effective it was etc. Using this tool immediately told us what the humidity was in the house, and allowed us to open windows wide for 15 mins and were stunned at how effective that was in reducing the humidity in the house - it dropped 10% and we were then in the 40-50% humidity range which put the dewpoint safely within the temperature of the outdoors - we still use the dehumidifier when it's more humid outside, but now we know how long we need to have it on, etc and when we can simply open the windows. Having the dewpoint was especially helpful as it allowed us to figure out when we were at risk of getting condensation in the corners of the room etc. Ie. sometimes it was more humid in the house, but because it was so warm, the dew point was high enough that it didn't matter etc. Very pleased, and would recommend to anyone battling damp.

The actual Klima Guard Digital Thermo-Hygrometer works well. However, after just 2 months of use the batteries included with the item totally failed and leaked badly. I'm hoping that this has not damaged the meter its self.

j'adore ! meilleur thermomètre que j'ai pu avoir jusqu'à présent (4 chez mois) J'ai acheté ce produit en vue de mesurer le taux d'humidité dans ma pièce car je vais bientôt avoir mon premier enfant (situé dans mon salon d'une maison BBC) j’atteins des valeurs entre 38% quand il fait beau à 50% quand le linge sèche. je pensais pas monter autant simplement avec du linge dans la pièce. je le trouve extrêmement précis et se réajuste en permanence et rapidement. Le tarif est abordable pour une précision tel de +-1 degrés (assez rare dans les thermomètre) et +-4% dans des taux d'humidité bas à +-5% dans les taux d'humidité haut. je n'ai aucune crainte pour la durée des piles car on peux mettre l'appareil en mode auto OFF, ce qui va permettre au thermomètre de s’éteindre au bout de 12-14minutes environ, un simple clic le rallume vraiment TOP ! il permet aussi de voir le point de rosée et une valeur de thermomètre mouillé ( j'ai pas trop compris le principe .) il est conforme ISO 9001, il est donc gage de qualité. un petit support détachable permet de le poser sur un meuble pour qu'il se tienne droit, un trou est également prévu pour le mettre au mur 2 piles AAA sont nécessaire est inclus dans la boite. appréciable je dois l'admettre.

Mooi apparaatje, goed afleesbaar, ook als je er iets verder af staat. Vrij nauwkeurig, vergeleken met een referentie. Temperatuur binnen halve graad, RH binnen 3% afwijking.

I’ve been running this humidity meter along with two cheaper ones that I suspected showed a too low reading. This one reads 5-10 percent units above the cheap ones, like I suspected. I don’t know if this one is too high or the cheaper ones too low, but I think it’s the latter. It also reads changes more quickly than the cheaper ones. A large sharp display is also good. The only minus I can think of is the display of tenths, which is unnecessary as this units has an accuracy of ±3.5 percent (no unit on the market has an accuracy greater than ±2 percent) so the tenths is by definition always wrong.
