Fashionable way to provide assistance. I purchased this and several other designs to have a variety to offer some fashionista older ladies who refused to use gait belts. The various designs allowed them to pick one to blend in with their outfit for the day. Having options improved compliance with using it and made assisting them safer for staff.

If this kind of equipment is necessary for you or someone you love, it might as well be attractive at the same time rather than just "industrial" in appearance. My little 101-yr. old Mom has finally started giving us cause to require extra safety for her when she's on her feet...and, being of our older generation, she has always been conscious of her appearance. That kind of upbringing doesn't just fly out the window because one starts to need assistance. I was so happy to find this transfer/gait belt that was able to provide both safety AND taste for her at the same time. There are many extremely cumbersome options out there with loads of handles every which-way cluttering wider belts with "quick-release" buckles that first drew my attention. However, if I read about even one review complaining about stitching that had caused those cumbersome handles to tear off, it worried me enough to decide on this more tried-and-true, old-school minimalist approach. It's been working well enough for so many years by many before us. This belt has now been keeping us worry-free from such potential failures when we would least want them, and lets us avoid a false sense of security -- exactly what we were NOT looking for. Nothing about this product is going to come off until it's taken off, and, now that it's also being made available in tasteful options that won't embarrass her to be seen in, we've found our win-win solution with this product. I bought this for my daughter. She loves it and thinks that it is good quality and will be perfect for her to help her patients stay safe.

I bought this for gait and balance activities with patients for an outpatient clinic setting. I was tired of putting the ugly belt on my patients and wanted something more feminine for female patients(let's be real, everyone hates wearing these).It is a pretty pattern but the one downside is the belt is soft, which I prefer a more stiff or rigid belt to hold while keeping patients safe.The buckle is a typical gait belt closure which secures well.

I get compliments on my belt every day it works great and it rolls up good too for in my pocket to use on my next patient super easy to use and made very well
