Excellent quality and light. Sensor override a great feature.
This was the second Noxlite I purchased. The first was the 23W model in grey. Easy (very easy) to install. The fact that you are installing the wall plate first and clipping the main bulk of the light on after makes it simple. The quality of the plastic is great. The light is easy to angle in a wide range of positions. The sensors/timers are easy to access. The manual override, which is done easily by double-clicking the light switch, means that the light can be used to illuminate the patio at night, as well as the light being for security purposes. Very few floodlights offer this feature. A bit pricey, but worth it for this feature and the fact the light doesn't look 'industrial' - just classy.

Stylish, Very Effective and Easy to Fit
These are utterly brilliant lights that look stylish - if this is your thing that is - and of course don't cost a fortune to run as they are LED's. But they are not a five star item. And that's because the plastic on the main part of the body is a bit, well, cheap. By that I mean its a kind of hard brittle type of plastic that you often see on cheap imports not on a big name product with a price to match. Now don't get me wrong, once up they are hardly likely to be subject to abuse so the plastic won't break or crack, but I was a bit disappointed at the the corner cutting. Anyway that's the dropped star out of the way and now for the remaining four. Fitting is easy peasy. You remove the back and fit the wires and screw it to the wall. There is a button at the top of the main part of the light that you depress and then click it into place. Makes it so much easier when waving around at the top of a ladder. You only have to mess around with a very light small backing plate and the heavy bit simply clicks into place without additional wiring. The LED lamp is fitted into a hefty alloy heat sink with a slightly diffused cover. I think it looks bloody great - for PIR lights anyway. Once fitted you can adjust time, sensitivity and light level. The time is particularly good because you can go from 5 seconds to 35 minutes meaning you can actually have this on for long enough to see what you are doing. I mounted my light under the eves and it comes on when I get to about six linear metres from it. Good enough. It's bright. Really bright so you have to think about your neighbours and angle this so that you aren't burning their eyes out when they go to bed. It can be adjusted side to side and up and down so no issues there. Overall a superb light only let down by the slightly low end plastic body.

Easy to fit and looks really good
Have over the years purchased a few motion sensor lights and found this one the easiest to wire. It works really well providing a really good light over the area I wish lit. I find the sensor works very well but then the area I require motion detected is quite narrow and not 20 plus metres away. I decided to pay that bit more as it is Osram and feel confident it will last for many, many years. Others less pricy I have had to replace after only a few years.

PIR is useless
Bought this on Black Friday for a really good price, but have returned it as the PIR sensor is worthless and does not activate the light or there’s such a delay that the light comes on once you’ve gone past! I’ve got their previous generation Noxlite’s which are great. The light that it does produce is however very wide and non directional. It really does produce a real flood of light as opposed to any real direction, which if you’ve got neighbors behind you might annoy them as it’ll light up their house and yours too.

Looks great..
Looks great.... but....the controls are very poor. The light is either near permanently switched on or near permanently off!

Very good light. Very expensive light.
Very Bright LED with wide spread, lights up my neighbours garden as well! Marked down for price and fitting. worked well for a few months then lost connection . There are easy fit 3 pin connector to fit to wall and mine I had to dismantle to get it working again.

Great functionality but a bit plasticky
Same fitting dimensions as my old one (are these standard?) which meant no drilling required for me which is also nice. Otherwise wire up the backplate with 3 wires (L/N/E), then fix to the wall with two screws. The main light unit then just clicks on and you put a little screw underneath to hold it in place. Looks pretty good and modern (much nicer than the old cheapo one) and a few settings (light/time/proximity) to play around with which is nice. Brighter than I thought, on par with the old halogen. But a big chinky and the wiring housing is quite plasticky. Also a little worried about water proofing as the plastic casing for the wiring doesn't seem to be sealed but hopefully not an issue. I'd say perfect functionality wise, just let down a bit by the plastic casing.

Fred
