There seems to be a blue version and a red version of this book so perhaps all the negative reviews are based on the blue one. I bought the red one which I guess is a newer version and none of the negative reviews seem to apply to it. The translation seems fine and the table of contents is a table and not a paragraph of text. Check the photos to see for yourself.It's really a wonderful book. Fantastic cover and illustrations throughout, should last a lifetime.

I bought this book, together with the Arabian Nights, as a special gift for my first grandson - I wanted something that he would treasure all his life and I particularly wanted a book which he could feel and appreciate for its workmanship - fairy tales and sagas should pour from the pages of a volume as glorious as the stories themselves and with this book they do just that.

I bought this one and the Grimms' Fairytales for my mum and she loves them. They're really nice books and lovely keepsakes. She just turned 80 and is enjoying reliving her youth !

Have a few of these books in the collection and always pleased with the quality. Lovely binding. Makes a great gift or addition to any book collection.
