Delphin dolphin knife carpet fitter professional tool

Hi. My first Delphin knife. Yes I know, but if you had tried to work with the crap I've been used to then find this thing was just an amazon order away!!! I'm little overwhelmed by the no nonsense robust nature of this product. I'm renovating my house and any tool that makes my life easier wins the prize. So, cutting plasterboard had become a chuck and chance thing with blades snapping and pulling out of knives just when you didn't need that to happen. This thing grips a blade and that's it/done. It's shaped for the hand and allows you to be fairly enthusiastic when scoring/cutting things. For the uninitiated, it comes with 0 instructions or blades, but you simply unscrew (by hand) the knurled wheel till the knife comes apart, fit your blade and screw it back up tight. It does not retract the blade, the blade is fixed, but comes with a strong holster to keep you safe as you work. Highly recommended.

came with a philips screw rather than a flat head screw, and had a "tradeunderlay" sticker slapped on the side, no idea who they are and don't really want to be a walking advertisement for them rather than delphinJust doesn't feel like the gear my old gaffa used to use

This is the third dolphin knife iv had i lost the previous two once you handle and use this type of knife you wont want to go back to using the other types of knifes as these feel so perfect to grip and they are easy to do a blade change i would reccomend this knife to anybody looking for a really good profesional cutting knife

Really like the knife very useful,well made, safer than retractable knives,use it all the time probably the best knife I've ever used can't fault it

As a fitter I've always used this knife. it holds up to 18 blades in the handle, has a nice Smooth design most knives have the opening wheel on the side "which over time will give you blisters".for me it's essential for the Pro fitter.

Broke at the first sight of a carpet. rubbish!

I’ve used these knives for 20yrs,as a floor layer they are slightly longer than the standard Stanley knife,which make them more comfortable when cutting carpets and vinyls, all the floor layers I know use these.
