I've had other solutions that would eat rust and leave the surface metal shinning colour. This one seems like it stops the rust bust leaving a black solution. Does it's job but not to the level I expected hence 4 stars.

I have been restoring my classic bmw and found a little rust near the jacking points that needed treating. Scraped/wire brushed off loose bits and gave it a coating of this stuff - works wonders and stopped the rust from spreading.IMPORTANT: Always get rid of loose rust and scrape back to metal as much as possible. Treat with this rust killer and let it soak and dry.If its the underside of the car, ensure after treating it with rust killer you coat it properly with a sealer/chip protection rubber.Update - its been a year and a half and no more rust has come through.See photos of what it looked like after I applied it.

I used this to try and remove rust inside a torch that had been left out overnight. It took several rounds of soaking to get the batteries clean and I was never able to get the battery holder clean so had to replace it. HG's rust remover has worked better for me in the past.

Does what it says on the tin. Will update on the finish.
