Hammerite 5092819 6100244 90ml Kurust

Used on a rust radiator bottom in a shower room. It bonded the rusted metal ready for painting and did a great job. A little of this goes quite a long way. Easy to use, seemed to work very well.

Great stuff easy to use

I've had other solutions that would eat rust and leave the surface metal shinning colour. This one seems like it stops the rust bust leaving a black solution. Does it's job but not to the level I expected hence 4 stars.

Always works as a rust converter

I ride my motobike all year round, so rust is inevitable. Every year I brush off the rust and coat it in this lovely stuff. A pot generally does around three to four jobs of this level. I advise a drip mat of some form as it's a very thin liquid. The colour changing shows that it has been activated. As the pictures show, it does a good job and dries dark, I'm not sure how well it would work in a light item if repainting wasn't the plan. The final picture shows varying degrees of usage. Top left, one coat; bottom, no coat; right below whats left of the crime has had four coats. Update may 24: New picture added, same part as nentiyabice but loose from the bike. In my opinion, this shows the relevance to two coats over one or non but also shows why this is an annual task.

Had this stuff years ago, and need it for a project later. Seems as good as the older stuff. Good value, dried quickly and prevents rust returning. Good black colour and good coverage for the job in hand.
