Clairol Nice'n Easy No Ammonia Hair Dye, 90 Dark Ash Blonde

I’m really pleased and used the dark ash blonde. I have salt and pepper hair which took over two years to grow out after having almost black dyed hair, which looked awful as I aged. It’s now a medium/light ash brown with evenly distributed greys like highlights which I really like. However my natural brown hair is so ash it has no warmth in it whatsoever which I missed.So I popped this on and it’s given my medium/light brown hair a very subtle warmth and my greys are still visible but toned into a slightly darker blonde colour than they were. After years of obviously dyed one tone hair, this has given subtle warmth but kept the natural variation of colour in my hair which I wanted. I didn’t want to hide my greys as such. So easy to use and I didn’t want to use anything permanent after I’d grown it all out, especially as my hair is so much healthier since ditching permanent dyes. So will be using this monthly as the colour is so natural and not an artificial yellow or red which I was worried about.

I have always struggled to find a nice ash brown/blonde hair colour. This one was perfect. Very natural shade with not too much yellow

Edit - so I was really pleased with the result , however after only 4/5 gentle washes the colour is fading already !I bought light ash brown . After a failed bleach job , even a salon correction left my hair to warm for my liking (first photo ) . Applied this for 15/20 mins and it’s perfect ! Really easy to use , smells divine and left my hair so soft ! If you’re looking to cover orangy tones use this.

I have brown hair but was wanting to go to a lighter brown shade. My friend recommended this and I said "no way" as I have never been blonde in my life and I just wanted to achieve a lighter brown, not blonde. "You will absolutely not go blonde" she promised. And she was right. It turned my mid brown hair a light shade of brown. After several wasted purchased of other brands which promised light brown hair (and turned my hair fairly dark), I have finally found the perfect product. I have got about 35% grey hair annd it covered all the grey's.The pack includes two bottles of product, a sachet of conditioner, and a pair of plastic gloves. There was no cap to put over your head, and I understand why as the product does not drip. After 30 minutes (I always add an extra 10 minutes just to be sure) and lots of rinsing, the product washed off.Your hair is left very, very soft afterwards. I'm not keen on that "too soft" feel as I wear my hair up and I find that bits keeps slipping out of my hair claw. So if you are the same, don't do it just before you go on holiday (as i did), then have to keep putting clips in the side to catch those stray hairs.All in all a very easy to use product with not too many nasties inside. Well priced too in comparison with similar products.

I have been dyeing my hair for many years from dark ask blonde to a very dark brown but i wanted to go back to my natural colour. After stripping and bleaching my hair i had tried several 'dark ash blonde' hair dyes and each one seemed to have a golden cast even with a decent level of lightness before applying. i ended up removing each one and trying another in frustration. I had originally avoided this as it was a semi permanent but as i was running out of options. OMG what an idiot i was...this colour was perfect. Exactly the colour on the box and exactly the colour i was trying to achieve. No yellow tones and a very even colour all over. It was also not so harsh and drying as some of the others i have tried. This lasts 28 washes approx so you get a decent amount of wear from one application. Instructions for use are clear and simple and gloves are provided. The after conditioner is lovely and my hair was amazingly soft afterwards. I definitely recommend this if you are looking for a true ash blonde.

Used a directed . Covered ever grey I had with the solution and it didn't cover 1 left on 1 hour . Completely useless

Good hair dye had hilights but were a bit yellow this made it more ash colour but was darker but that's what I wanted
