At the time I purchased this toy the description said it was suitable for children age 12+ months, but when the toy arrived, we found the box states it's not suitable for children under 3, as it contains small parts.We did consider passing it on to an older child, but it didn't seem the kind of toy that would keep an older child amused for very long, as it's basically just a shape-sorter. It is a very nice looking toy, but the animals are just pictures on blocks, rather than 3D models, and there's no way to play with the animals inside the ark, only empty them out to push them through the shape holes again.

I bought this for my sons first Christmas. It’s very sturdy and has put up with a lot of bashing from my 1 year old. The holes for the shapes are big enough that if he turns the pieces he can put any shape in there. So no great if you are looking for something your child can learn to shap sort with but a great little wooden activity.

This Noah’s Ark is beautifully made in wood. We bought it for our grandson for Christmas and he loves it. At the moment he just likes playing with the animals but as he gets older he will enjoy posting them through the animal shaped holes.

What a great idea and so much nicer than the usual plastic box and shapes on the market, love it, great gift.

What a fab toy, honestly I think I enjoy playing with this more than my son does.. I used the animals for decorating his 2nd birthday cake but we have got so much enjoyment from it.

As always Le Toy Van have delivered a lovely stacker set - bought as a gift for a 1 year old for when they’re ready. Well packaged, made a great gift.

This is a very aesthetically pleasing ark. My son likes it, unfortunately I gave it him for his first birthday and it has taken a beating - he dropped it so one of the curved ark corners came away, half the roof and half the animals have also been placed behind various radiators in the house and are wedged so I can't get them out. Despite this its still one of my sons favourite toys and even with the roof partially missing it looks pretty on the shelf in his room.

This was bought for our 2 year old grand daughter Chloe for Christmas 2012. Both Chloe and her 4 year old sister absolutely loved it, as did their 2 year old cousin. The ark itself is very sturdy and the animals are great but what became quickly evident is that the house, which sits on top of the ark, is not so sturdy and is starting to break up - this is particularly so in the area where the house slots into the Ark deck .The house seems to be manufactured from a composite material covering a cardboard type interior and is clearly not of the same quality as the ark. Having said that, for the price paid, I expected an better overall standard of build and material, however, can find no fault with the animals. As I have said, the children adore this toy but no way can it handle robust handling.
