Versatile, durable, sustainable, super! Buy with confidence.
How to write a very positive review without it looking like fake one. Here goes. My first spiralizer was the common plastic sort which produced good spirals but was problematic for a number of reasons (it was huge and took up a lot of space, the feet fell off, it was right-handed only and I'm left, cleaning was arduous) and then the plastic pins that keep the veg in place during spiralling broke off when working with butternut squash (built in obsolescence). Pretty hopeless. Reviews of electric ones were not encouraging and they were also huge. But this one is ideal - metal and durable, small and discreet, can be used right or left-handed, easy to clean. Made the way things should be made - and not bad for the planet with heaps of plastic (did you know all plastic ever made is still around somewhere). Produces lovely spirals from all sorts of vegetables - I use it every day.

excellent spiralizer
This is a simple to use and effective spiralizer. I have bought two others, a vertical one, a power one, and this is by far the best and most efficient. It slices and spiralises vegetables well, is very easy to clean just needing a rinse with a brush, is strong and should last well. The reason that I have not given it five stars is that two of the rubber suckers did not grip well.

Well made, saves hours
I use this in a commercial kitchen, we started offering zoodles as an alternative healthy option to noodles, frankly it proved so popular the our old hand operated one was just too slow. This thing whips through them with ease (courgettes) and we don't even bother clamping the sucker pad, just not needed. Two issues I've found: The cutter end would be better with a redesign so it overhangs a bowl. If you're working on a hygienic surface you can let it fall onto that and scoop it up afterward. Having the cutter (or winder) on a sliding mount would reduce wastage as you could move it to fit size of veg to be sliced without having to cut it to size first. Even small courgettes are longer than the space in the middle. We cut them in half first so end up with two wasted chunks about 1/2" thick. Overall though for the price? It's 5 stars from us!

Not the easiest to use.
Difficult to hold and operate at the same time. The suction doesn’t work well . We tried butternut squash and it managed it but it wasn’t a simple process my husband tells me.

Super Quality
Fantastic gadget! I tried one similar but double the price and the handle was poor quality and wonky. This one has a very sturdy build and is solid steel quality. The pressure pump on the side holds it secure to my worktop and was a great addition. The blades are easy to change and I realised the "3rd" blade is just the machine with no blade in, which gives a wide curly cut. Super fast and easy to rinse under a tap with a little scrubby brush and leave to dry. Small enough to store on my kitchen cupboard shelf. Gives me great quality zoodles. I am very very happy. :)

Other users seem to ‘snap’ the blades in easily but mine isn’t set right
Curt email responses wanting order number, and two days later wanting photos. Very unhelpful as they offered no advise to rectify my problem promptly. I just wanted to return the product and get a replacement. The holding clip on the blade board isn’t aligned properly and the back of the blades do not fit or 'snap' against the clip to hold it. The blades jiggle too much and can't spiralize the veg. It manages a curl or two then I get mush as the blades aren't firmly in place. Other users seem to ‘snap’ the blades in easily but mine isn’t set right. The Clip is the problem. Husband has since messed with the clip with pointed pliers to try to bend the clip into a better place for the blade back-edge to fit against and to stop the blades jiggling against it and now there is a slight crack starting at the bottom of the clip. And, it still doesn't work! So, the clip is very fragile anyway. WASTE OF MONEY. Cannot use or return since husband has tried to fix it himself (which he shouldn't have needed to do in the first place). So if you get the same problem, DO NOT MESS WITH IT and return it immediately. Do not await emails like I did. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER after I'd spent so long researching spiralizers and settled with this one!

Savvy shoppers crave real world reviews. We have purchased an ICO 4-Blade Spiralizer, and have enjoyed its use for a number of months. With gratitude for the positive experience, we offer the following words. Our home kitchen, as well as adventures in food production, exceed the norm. We weekly experiment with a minimum of three new dishes, as well as new forms of preparation. In this vein, and with the encouragement of a number of entire cookbooks devoted to a theme, we undertook an adventure in “spiralizing”. Our initial foray was with a hand-held tube, with blades inside, into which one inserted a vegetable, and then pivoted, using two hands, both the food and the device. Spirals of vegetable emerged. With this we discovered non-carbohydrate forms of “pasta”, and dishes that featured raw or sautéed veggies that were a great deal lighter in the aftermath than your standard spaghetti dinner. In a desire to up-grade the quantity of what we could spiralize, we sought a model that would forego the limitations of the size of vegetable that could be processed by the “tube”, as well as the tedious method of rotating hands. With research on Amazon, we determined that the weakness of crank operated spiralizers was the fact that they were made of plastic (the majority of models for sale). To endure the stress of cranking fat carrots or hard butternut squash required a design both massive, and bulky. These two features lead to products which further required large washings and some disassembly. Dissatisfied, we sought a spiralizer fashioned from the more obvious choice of structurally sound materials: metal. Metal that would not rust, or be too clunky. In this pursuit, there were few choices. We settled on the ICO 4-Blade Spiralizer. There were some negative reviews regarding the sharpness of the blades, and we nearly decided to live without any spiralizer in our kitchen. Thank goodness my wife quietly ordered the ICO Spiralizer. It arrived quickly, and undamaged. It was smaller than plastic models (so much better for storage in an already well-supplied kitchen), and it was made of metal that has not corroded in any way in the half year that we have used the device often. The blades have all been sharp enough. One can produce a number of different shapes of vegetable “noodle” (four!), including one that provides sheets of food, much in the shape of an apple peeled in one long piece. Vegetables such as butternut squash can be cut into portions that are accommodated by the tool, such that all of the squash can be rendered into a pile of delightful “noodles”. Best was the support of ICO’s customer service. Our spiralizer had arrived missing one of three blades (the spiralizer has one blade which is permanent; one can operate with just that blade, or add one of the three possible detachable blades — which are held onto the spiralizer in a most clever and easily installed manner!). Customer service was exceedingly responsive, and when a replacement blade was not soon forthcoming, their decision was to send us an entire, new ICO 4-Blade Spiralizer. This, in lieu of a blade which cost likely no more than pennies. Experience the strength and functionality of this wonderful tool. And prepare to have a great deal of new food fun in the process.
