D'Addario Guitar Strings - ProSteels Electric Guitar Strings - Round Wound - Brighter, Crunchier, Increased Sustain - EPS510 - Regular Light, 10-46

Great strings to brighten up a dark/warm sounding guitar (Mahogany and Rosewood). Good value for money and in sealed packet. Perfect for having loose top strings for easy bends and tighter bottom strings for drop tuning, that and stops the strings from fluctuating about so much (causing fret buzz and intonation problems. If you use something like 9-46s usually then you will probably have to adjust the guitar slightly (slight truss rod & Intonation adjustment) and maybe heighten action on lower strings. I use these in half a step down Eb tuning sometimes tuning the Eb to Db also have them on another guitar in standard tuning, feels tighter but i prefer it as it doesn't allow the string to warble and fluctuate meaning less string buzz and better response.

These strings are absolutely amazing. They make a Strat sound more stratty, and springy. Brilliant tone that cuts through without sounding thin. Well done D'Addario. I have used standard d'Addario for 30 years, but these are the most significant uplift in tone that I've always yearned for. I wished I'd discovered them sooner. I also have 2 sets of the NYXL variety but haven't tried them out yet.

I use these strings on all my electric guitars, brighter and a longer lifespan compared to Ernie Ball's 10-52s. Perfect for heavy pickers and/or those who like to downtune to D, or at a stretch down to C.

One string snapped during first tune-up. It hadn't reached pitch yet and wasn't over tightened. A fresh set was very quickly dispatched and arrived next day (well done amazon! ) and we're fine. The sound is VERY bright so if that's what you're looking for Great but if you are after mellow steer clear.

Nice strings for a beginner, they dont hurt the fingers too much. Easy to restring as the strings are colour coded.

Not my preferred strings

These strings felt quite bright and sturdy, they were great for a new beginner like me.

Very pleased with the tones on these strings and they stay in tune for much longer than my usual choice. Heavy bottom allows you to hit them hard without losing tune while the ligher tops are as bright as ever. Definitely on my repeat purchase list.

Haben sich für mich als die besten Saiten gerausgestellt. Ernie Balls rosten bei mir trotz Saitenpflege in wenigen Tagen und sind teilweise schon am Tag des Aufziehens gerissen, so bin ich irgendwann bei D'Addario gelandet. Der klare Sound frisch aufgezogener Saiten (Gitarristen wissen was ich meine) bleibt bei diesen Saiten besonders lange erhalten und gerissen ist mir im normalem Spielgebrauch (bei Saitenwechsel alle 3 Monate) auch noch keine einzige. Erst nachdem die Saiten mangels Zeit zum Spielen über ein halbes Jahr auf meiner Gitarre waren, hat die hohe E-Saite schlapp gemacht. Die Pro Steels zeichnen sich durch ihren bissigen und aggressiven Sound aus. Gepaart mit einem heißen PU iwe zB einem EMG 81 hat man so ordentlich Dampf. Wer es lieber ein wenig dumpfer möchte, kann zu den normalen Nickelwound greifen. Auf meiner anderen Gitarre hatte ich bereits die Jazz light-gauge 0.12-0.56 drauf, sowohl als Nickelwound als auch als Pro Steels und kann alle guten Dinge bestätigen. D'Addario bleibt für mich die Nummer 1
