The product is not only very accurate, you can even see the color change without aquarium light. And it’s so easy to clean. The best part is the green dot on the top, even for people like me with no sense of color, it’s easy to see and read if CO2 in tank is appropriate.

good product but wasn't what I need ed

After a recent plant die-off I decided to go back to monitoring my aquarium CO2 a little closer, and went with this style as opposed to the curly one as I've had some weird experiences with that style in the past. This seems to be rock solid. I've done a bunch of ph testing to gauge the color of the reagent as it shifts and I think it's pretty good.This is super easy to install and I like the little "target color" bead that's in it. I'm not sure it is really the color where I want it to be, but it does give me an immediate comparison point against what "good" should be vs how the reagent looks. It SEEMS so far to be the right color for where I want things, so that's good.If you're putting plants in your aquarium with a CO2 diffuser, recommend using this.

CO2 checker works fine, but does not come with indicator solution. Purchase that separately.

I didn’t realize until after buying that this product is so dangerous is has special disposal methods required to not pollute the waterways. Yet at the same time the product is faulty in that it leaks. In just a few hours after having it attached to the tank the seal failed and all of the chemicals ended up in my tank causing several of my fish to die. Several others are still ill but hopefully the medical treatment I’m providing will save the rest. Do not buy unless you want to take those risks. I need a co2 monitor in there but the next one is going to be one that hangs over the edge so it won’t poison the tank. Regret purchasing this defective and dangerous product.
