If like me you have lived in London for many years, and wondered about the small details on buildings, statues or their history then this book is for you. It provides a well-written overview of those sites, helping to bring the past to life, and has inspired me to learn more about many of the buildings.I also loved the watercolour illustrations included for many of the locations.

Fabulous book, full of information around and about London

Great companion book to live tours and Insta snippets @livinglondonhistory. Jack Chester knows how to bring history to life and make it fascinating. Book presents some walks and shows you what to look out for.

We don't live in London, but we've following Jack for some time, and subscribed to his newsletter. My wife and I visit London a few times a year and wanted to be able to walk around and find more history out about our nations capital. This book is well written, and has some lovely illustrations through-out the pages. When we starting thumbing through it the day it arrived, we didn't put it down for over an hour. Great insight into London, places worth seeing, and some great history being covered. Ideal companion on a London day out. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this book.

This book is fabulous for those who want to know more about the history of London. It is written in clear detail and the illustrations are superb. There is such a wealth of detail about various times in history, or details about various historical secrets or events along the streets of London that we so easily walk past every day. The author really has done some incredible research and brings everything to life, and he deserves my 5 STARS. Thank you Jack Chesher for all your incredible research and for writing such an informative book that drew me in totally.
