Forager's Feed Sustainable Protein Dog Food Topping for Canine Health, Mixed Fruit and Veggie Flavor, 10 Oz. Resealable Bag

I have been buying them for my dog for a few months now they are great she loves them. I just have one concern the last order I purchased two bag of treats and both bags where expired. I was not able to return them because the item isn't returnable. Please check the expiration date on them. I would be happy to purchase them again as long as they arent expired.

First, my dogs will eat them. They aren't their favorite treats though. Their smell is...off-putting to say the least. The bigger issue is they just crumble. The bag is full of crumbs at the bottom. That combined with knowing these are made from bugs just has a ick factor I'd rather avoid. I mean, I like the idea of sustainable protein but I wished the pieces stayed together instead of disintegrating. It would make it more palatable to use mentally.

My fuzzy babies really like these treats! No questionable ingredients. Made in the USA.

I can’t get past the fact that the first ingredient is fly larvae! I did let the dogs try one. One of my boxers ate the treat and the other boxer nibbled it and left a pile of crumbs. They look great but I don’t think I will give them anymore. I had to wash my hands after touching them. It will take time for me to accept sustainable dog treats. I don’t like my dogs eating bugs

It smells awful and the thought of what is in them makes me gag but the dogs love them and it helps get the husky to eat his food.

I like to give my dog a lot of different things to try especially if they are healthy. Like most dogs, there are some things that she absolutely loves and other things that she just won't eat. When I opened the bag, it definitely has an off-putting smell, but like others have mentioned the smell is contained to the bag and almost no smell outside of the bag. I gave her half a biscuit and she took it out of my hand but dropped it on the floor to inspect is a little more, sniffed it and walked away. When she realized that I wasn't going to give her anything else she ate it like a normal treat. Later in the day I gave her the other half and she snatched it out of my hand which is something that she does when she likes something a lot. So it appears that although she wasn't sure about it at first, it was an acquired taste for her and likes it now with the added benefit of being a healthy treat for her.

Healthy and sustainable, great for the earth and yummy for the dogs! Although sadly only 2/3 of my dogs liked this.
