I first experienced this when training karate in okinawa and noticed everyone used it to rehydrate in hot conditions. I tried it and its brilliant. Tastes like weak grape juice but that's not the point. Also excellent for hangovers apparently. Pricey to import but if you want the real thing and not have to mess about with powder mixing....
