Fast, Reliable, and Built to Last – The Perfect Upgrade to SSD Storage
Unfortunately, I recently had one of my standard external hard drives give up on me — and it was devastating. I lost several years’ worth of valuable video footage and product material, and that was the moment I decided enough was enough. It was time to move away from traditional spinning drives and finally upgrade to solid-state technology. After doing a bit of research, I came across the Samsung T7 Shield Portable SSD (2TB, USB 3.2 Gen.2) in Blue, and it instantly caught my attention. The bright colour wasn’t just appealing — it was practical. Having multiple drives in different colours means I can tell at a glance which one’s which, without having to plug them in first. It’s a small detail, but one that’s proven surprisingly handy for keeping projects organised. I’ve now had this SSD for just over a year, and I can honestly say it’s been flawless. The build quality is superb — solid, compact, and clearly designed to withstand daily use. It’s also completely silent, with none of that whirring or vibration you get from mechanical drives. And the speed? It’s incredible. File transfers are lightning-fast, and working directly from the drive feels as smooth as using an internal SSD. At 2TB, it’s more than enough for my current needs, it's completely compatible with my iMac and they don't get hot. I’m constantly saving and loading large video files, and even after a year of heavy use, I’ve still got plenty of space left. The compact size is another big plus — it’s small enough to slip into a pocket or camera bag without adding bulk, and it’s tough enough to travel with me wherever I go. I’ve been so impressed, in fact, that I’ve since purchased two more T7's, each in a different colour. I use them to separate projects, back up footage, and store product design files — and they’ve all performed perfectly. Verdict: The Samsung T7 Shield is fast, reliable, and built like a tank. It’s the perfect upgrade for anyone tired of unreliable hard drives or looking to protect their data without compromise. Highly recommended — once you switch to these, you won’t go back.

Durable
The Samsung T7 Shield has been one of my best tech purchases. I needed a portable SSD that was both fast and rugged, and this one delivers on every promise. The speed is excellent so transferring large files is smooth and almost instant, making it perfect for work projects, backups, and even video editing on the go. The rubberised exterior gives it a solid, premium feel, and the drop- and water-resistant design adds real peace of mind when travelling. It’s compact, lightweight, and stays cool even during heavy use. Setup was simple, and it worked straight out of the box with no hassle. Overall, the T7 Shield strikes the perfect balance between performance and durability. If you need a reliable portable SSD, you can’t go wrong with this one.

Fast, Tough, and Reliable – Excellent Portable SSD
The Samsung T7 Shield 1TB (Blue) from Amazon, and it’s been an excellent investment. The performance is exactly what I hoped for — incredibly fast transfer speeds thanks to USB 3.2 Gen 2, making file transfers (especially large video or photo files) quick and effortless. I’ve used it for backing up important data, editing directly from the drive, and even moving files between devices, and it hasn’t let me down once. What really sets this SSD apart, though, is the rugged design. The rubberised, grippy exterior not only feels durable but also offers IP65 water and dust resistance, so I’m comfortable taking it on the go or using it outdoors. It’s compact, lightweight, and fits in a pocket with no fuss. Setup was plug-and-play on both Windows and macOS, and Samsung’s included software makes encryption and management easy if you want that extra layer of security. Pros: Blazing fast speeds (up to ~1,050 MB/s) Rugged and water/dust resistant Sleek, portable design Reliable Samsung quality Works across multiple devices with no hassle Cons: Slightly pricier than regular portable drives — but worth it for the durability and performance. Overall, highly recommended if you need a portable, tough, and fast SSD — whether you’re a content creator, traveller, or just need reliable storage on the go.

backup bonanza !
Awesome little SSD, bought this to backup and transfer all my older music from a 2012 Mac. 300GB took about 30 mins to copy across, based on the older machine’s limitations, and it did it very well, with no errors or crashes. It’s a compact ruggedised solid state drive which comes with two high quality USB leads that also match the build quality of the thing itself. It seems to be pretty much real time/low latency when DJ software accesses the music stored on it, and I would deffo recommend this product. Good price too.

I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a fast way to store files.
It works great as an external drive that you can literally put into your pocket if you wanted to. The speed of drive is a bit slower than expected as I have only seen it do 300mb/s or 400 max. The storage also seems to be not 2tb like it says instead it is 1.8tb which I think is misleading by itself. Last thing, I didn't had any problems so far when using it, I will keep updating if I anything new pops up that needs addressing. At this point I would recommend buying it if you want more storage to work with and have a fast way to transfer your files.

The Samsung T7 Shield Portable SSD 4 TB is an outstanding addition to my tech gear. As a professional who handles large files regularly, I needed a reliable and high-capacity drive, and this SSD has exceeded my expectations. The performance is top-notch. Transfers are lightning-fast, whether I'm moving large video files or backing up my entire work library. The 4 TB capacity offers ample space for all my needs, and the speed ensures that I spend less time waiting and more time being productive. What really impresses me is the rugged design. The T7 Shield is built to withstand tough conditions, and it feels incredibly sturdy. I’ve taken it on shoots and traveled with it without any concerns about durability. The added layer of protection is a huge bonus. The setup was straightforward, and it’s compatible with various devices, including laptops and tablets. Plus, the compact size means it’s easy to carry around without adding bulk to my gear bag. Overall, the Samsung T7 Shield Portable SSD is a fantastic choice for anyone needing high performance and durability in a portable storage solution. Highly recommended!

Great Little SSD
The Samsung T7 Shield Portable SSD 2 TB has truly exceeded my expectations. As an owner of a work MacBook Air, this SSD has been an invaluable addition to my setup. The initial setup process was remarkably straightforward, ensuring that I was up and running in no time. What truly sets this SSD apart is its exceptional speed and seamless performance when transferring my work files. The high-speed data transfer has significantly boosted my productivity, and I've experienced no disruptions or slowdowns during usage. The rugged rubber casing is another standout feature. It instills a sense of confidence when using the SSD on-site. Even in the event of an accidental drop, the SSD remains resilient and unscathed. This robust build quality gives me peace of mind, and I can effortlessly toss it into my bag without a second thought, knowing it will withstand the rigors of daily use. In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend the Samsung T7 Shield Portable SSD 2 TB to anyone in search of a robust and dependable external SSD. Solid, Rugged, Meets Specification
I bought this to add a third back up for irreplaceable files. I had worries about a SanDisk SSD, which although of a generation before the ones which are currently failing and under class action lawsuits, runs extremely hot to the touch and is in a flimsy plastic case. My other backup a 5 year old magnetic disc HDD. So when I opened the T7 Shield pack I was pleased how solid the drive seemed, double the weight of my SanDisk and with proper IP rating. I formatted the SSD to NTFS (which I believe gives better protection than exFAT against random disconnection during read / write cycles ... lost all photos on an exFAT formatted SD card and after recovery all file names and metadata were lost). I work in a Windows only environment. The NTFS formatted drive (no password encryption) gave much better speeds than the exFAT it came with. I transferred about 1TB of data in under couple of hours, mostly photos and FLAC music with write speeds of 120 - 250 MB/s but from a drive which could only offer 500 MB/s max. When I did a Crystal Mark speed test on the NTFS formatted drive it pretty much met advertised spec, and it has never even got mildly warm through my few days of ownership. As for peoples complaints ... the drive exceeded capacity when adding up bytes in the decimal system. In binary / base 2 which computers usually use 1024 bytes equals a kilobyte, 1100 billion bytes in a terabyte, so depending under which convention you read the disc you could expect it to be 1.8TB in binary ! But SSD manufacturers use the decimal convention as it gives the higher number. And I had no problem with security of the USB-C cables supplied (or any of my own cables), all clip in really securely. A terrific product, but it will take many years to discover reliability,
