Lovely coffee
Bought this for my husband as he loves coffee. He said it tasted really good, super smooth coffee and I have to say it smelt great too! He says he would recommend it to anybody looking for a rich coffee with smooth taste.

Considered by some the finest coffee in the world
In a book I have been reading lately Robb Walsh raves about this beverage, describing it as the finest coffee in the world, the man's book Are You Really Going To Eat That? Reflections of a Culinary Thrill Seeker is a master piece of writing on the topic of food and he sure does write persuasively about this. As he states this is a smooth coffee which has none of the bitter aftertaste which some people associate with coffee and dislike, its an open question as to whether or not this amounts to an actual dislike of coffee or one aspect or type of coffee. I like all sorts of coffee and think that variety is the spice of life in that respect, sometimes I'll like the bitter beverages and after taste and sometimes I'll prefer something like this. Of all the coffees that I have drank it is the least hard on my stomach, I have a stomach ulcer and some beverages, while I love them, do play positive havoc and I'll have to take some stomach settling remedy soon there after. I would say that its a shame this is extravagantly expensive as I could drink it and drink it and drink it. As it is I ration out the amount of beans which come with it, the hessian bag is really a gimic of some variety, within it is the foil wrap packaging which has the beans within. The beans themselves are roasted to perfection and upon opening the foil wrap I thought there was a rich coffee aroma, grinding them also (I like to hand mill my more expensive coffee beans as a sort of preparation ritual, along with using bottled still water on occasion, using a little hob heated espresso kettle etc.) although it does not particularly exude a stronger than usual aroma when ready to drink. I'm sure it would taste just as great if it was used to make lattes, cappucinos or with milk added but I prefer to drink it as espresso or in bigger cups "black" and unsweetened.

The Best Coffee in The World?
I heard that Jamacia Blue Mountain Coffee is one of the world's best coffees and wasn't disappointed. A beautiful coffee that will delight any connoisseur.

So disappointing.....just tasted burnt ..... sent a dud batch?... But excellent customer service!
I bought this as a gift for my husband who adores coffee. He has a lot of experience with coffee and knows exactly what he is doing when making it. I am a tea drinker myself! He has always wanted to try Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, as it is considered the best coffee bean in the world. He was very excited and so looking forward to trying his first cup. However I was watching his face as he took his first sip, and I could immediately tell how incredibly disappointed he was. He thought perhaps he had just made the first one badly...... but no.... it got no better with successive cups. He says the coffee simply tasted burnt, with virtually no flavour, just burnt. Has anyone else found this? Were we just sent a dud lot? I am wondering whether we have been duped and not sent the genuine article? Because I can't possibly believe that this is considered the best bean in the world if it just tastes burnt. Incredibly expensive for yukky coffee. We couldn't possibly recommend it. Okay so this is an update on 8 April. I felt compelled to update my review because the seller responded to me and I have to commend them for excellent customer service. Because we thought we were sent a dud batch they arranged for me to be sent a replacement to try. I did not expect this and have to thank them. I believe we were sent a dud batch initially as my husband says that the replacement beans didn't taste the same, didn't taste burnt and were much better, and he enjoyed them although sadly he still can't say that he loved it. We cannot however fault the seller who was fantastic and went the extra mile to try to resolve our disappointment. Such excellent customer service these days is rare. Thank you.
