This expansion would be best for the gamer who loves to play solo. Nightweave is an excellently designed bot that is card-based, intuitive, challenging, and it really feels like you are playing the base game against someone else. Plus, there are different personalities and other modules that allow for variety to this experience.I like the new farms and the other modules that are included in the game.There is not a ton in this box for the price, but the amount of planning and testing for this is well worth the price if you play solo. So far, it's my favorite solo game because of Nightweave.

I own most all of the expansions for Everdell and this is one of my favorites. I play almost exclusively solo, and this expansion improves solo play a lot. Playing against the spider and her minions is much more challenging and enjoyable than playing against Rugwort the Rat in the base version of the game. Also, a lot of other content is added that would be enjoyable for any number of players.

This expansion is GREAT if you are looking for an extra AI player to fight against. We really like it because we don't enjoy competing against one another but do really enjoy the competition that the spider character adds.Her many personalities add variability as well. Highly recommend!

Great addition to the classic Everdell game! My husband and I play the original all the time. This version adds and additional ‘player’ for a fun variation. Great quality as usual.

Everdell is my favorite board game, so this review is slightly biased. Mistwood is a great addition to the Everdell universe. If you usually play a two player game (or 1 player) this adds a fun new twist. Nightweave becomes an additional player in your game whose turns/moves are determined randomly. This can derail you or your opponents turn or cause you to change tactics. I wouldn't play this if I were new to Everdell as it can become confusing to follow the additional rules. The Through Every Season expansion pack is awesome too. Having Farms with different abilities adds another layer of complexity in the best ways. Although not my favorite expansion, Mistwood has a ton of value and fun and I would highly recommend it.

If you play Everdell mostly solo, then this expansion is mandatory! The addition of the spiders as a foe vastly improves the solo experience! Highly recommended.

My husband and I are addicted to this board game. We got the base game during the pandemic and we played so much its cards had scabbed from use. Every time a new expansion comes out, we pounce. This expansion introduces very fun cards and possibilities, finally broke our record (143 points) which fellow Everdellers might know, it's a lot. So this expansion definitely will boost you up in numbers. The spider... meh, adds some excitement but I prefer playing without her, and just use the other modules with other expansions. Playing it with Pearlbrook was wonderful. If you like Everdell, get it. If you don't have the base game, buy that and maybe Bellfair first to learn the game. This expansion is easy to understand if you're familiar with the base game. If you're not, well, good luck haha. It's not impossible to have it as a first expansion -especially if you're a solo player - but I think that there are better expansions to start with. That's just the opinion of someone who played this game over 600 times and even had a championship with her husband in 2022. (I won.)
