can this be used to lag hot copper pipes as my pipe are very close to the underside of the floorboards so normal pipe lagging doesn't sit very well?

Hi yes it can. It is used for lagging refrigeration pipes etc but is equally effective for hot pipes. If you can double it up that would be better. It is very sticky so be careful when positioning as once it sticks it is hard to get off.Hope this helps.

what is the temperature range?

I think the self adhesive tape can be used on pipework operating up to 82 Deg C. Suggest you confirm this using the Armaflex website. The tape really does stick. Hope this helps.

Hi Gerry, it can be used for that purpose yes, it would need some kind of weatherproofing if it is to be open to the elements though. Have you considered the Armaflex Selfseal Pipe Insulation? 35mm bore normally does the job and a 19mm wall thickness will see you through all but the very worst conditions.

If you put this around the water mains tap and pipe ( mainly the pipe part) not the actual tap, would it be easy to get off again later on?

Def not it is uber sticky - which is great as long as you dont want to remove it.You need the pipe insulation they do - i purchased both to lag an outside stand pipe and tap the sticky tape was used to strap around where lengths of pipe insulation were joining Hope thats helpful
