Eilik - Your Perfect Interactive Companion at Home or Workspace

My kid has autism, this is a great desk buddy, it has great features, super fun, interactive, and it goes everywhere my kid goes. Holds it's charge for a good time. It's the favorite toy. It comes with accessories that makes the experience even more fun, also some cute stickers. Great gift!

It didn't work at first. I started it up and was met with a text menu where his face should have been. I couldn't find any way to control the menu. From what I saw in youtube video's, the toy should not have started in that state. I'm wondering if it was used. I suggest buying it directly from the Eilik website. I eventually got it to work after some updates and it's a really neat novelty item. I'd love to see a future Eilik that teams up with a game developer where the bot would react to the game and be my little sidekick.

It looks like a children's toy but is much much more than that. Once you learn how to program it surprised you of all the things that is capable and the more surprising is all it can do at that price.

I gave this to my 8 year old son for his birthday today and he loved it from the jump. The firmware update had me nervous for a while because it was getting stuck at a certain percentage, or stopping altogether while it was updating, and then wouldn’t come out of its updating/boot screen even when it wasn’t plugged into the computer. Reverted to the basics and used the original cord it came with and that did the trick (with only couple more tries after it stopped early again), incase anyone runs into this same issue. We noticed that the timer function does not work, there is no way to confirm the time selected without it going into its default heart mode (would’ve come in handy to help him time brushing his teeth). A few posters on Reddit said they had the same issue. Also some of the petting the belly or head functions don’t work most of the time, and also when you bonk his head. My son had a blast messing with the games and the recorder/mimic mode though. If he’s happy, then I am too.

The ENERGIZE LAB Eilik robot pet, with its appealing design, is made for kids and adults. It could offer fun interaction. The image shows the product on Amazon, with the option to buy it new or used. It looks like it could be a great buy.

My 6 year old son got this for Christmas and it just happened that it would have needed to be taken apart to fix our issues. It wasn't working and my son was really upset. Reached out to EnergizedLab for help. They told me to reach out to Amazon for a new one. I was very disappointed. By time we got a new one Christmas break was over. I got my son another kind of robot for Easter and that company sent us a new one as it stopped having sound the same day. It would move around but no sound. Just a heads up to other parents to check it if it is a gift as ours needed something we couldn't fix. It also needs updates and has a conductor magnet to work on it. Things that weren't mentioned for the cost. I expect it to work and not be such a hassle. Not a fan of this company. *update, got the new one. The company sent a very impolite email when I told them I was surprised they didn't just send one out. I also don't like this robot. More annoying to listen to than anything. Doesn't do as much as you'd hope for the price. Definitely going to look at the other robots at are popular on YouTube. My son wanted another to attach the one he has to. Definitely won't be doing that after our experience.
