Amazing kettle recommend to everyone
The media could not be loaded. So far this is the best kettle I have ever purchased. It has different temperature settings from 70 to 100 degrees which is really easy and obvious to operate on the base. The amazing function of keep warm is really practical as well. The design is good, maybe not as artistic but rather reliable and practical which is superbly German. I would highly recommend this kettle to anyone. Last thing to emphasis, it is much faster than before to give you a boiled water, and it is also quieter than any other kettles I have used before.

Fabulous kettle that looks great and works very well
I had a previous version of this kettle - which got lost in a house move. I got a cheap replacement which was just awful and so back to Bosch. I returned the one Amazon sent - as despite being described as new it had small dents in the metal section. The new one I bought since is lovely, in white with a white handle and base unit. Very smart. It’s true that the water level is slightly difficult to read initially but you can soon work it out. I like that the lid opens. with a switch on the handle - you can easily fill it too via the wide metal spout. It boils very quickly and I think is quieter than my old Bosch kettle. The kettle switches on via the base unit and you select the temperature there too. Very easy and intuitive. Nice beep when it’s boiled - just the right level of loudness to alert you without being annoyingly too loud. Not too much steam produced when it boils which is also a plus - will be useful in winter in my current badly ventilated kitchen which is prone to condensation. I have a lot of Bosch appliances in my home because they are good quality and last.

It's a classy boiler
When you get used to having a kettle that boils quickly and quietly, and then decide to buy a cheap and cheerful one to replace it that fulfils neither of those criteria, you really notice the difference. I did a similar thing because my old Kenwood Kmix one was starting to look decidedly scabby - while wandering along the aisles in a certain German discount supermarket chain I grabbed one of their cheap ones which looked lovely, but as soon as I put it on to make a cuppa with it for the first time, I realised that I'd made a bit of a faux-pas; it was horribly noisy and took an absolute age to boil.It was with some regret that I admitted my mistake and took to the internet to look for something worthy to replace the old Kenwood kettle. I hummed and hawed my way through a fair amount of kettles, but decided to settle on this Bosch one.>>>BIG BOILERWhen it arrived, I've got to say that I was surprised at the size of it; it seems to be somewhat larger than most kettles, most likely due to its 'cool wall' ability, but only by a small amount so you don't need to discount it if you don't have the counter space - my kitchen is TINY and it's not a problem.>>>IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BASEUnlike the vast majority of kettles, the on/off switch for this kettle is on the base rather than the kettle itself, which is kinda funky.>>>SOME LIKE IT HOT...And some prefer their beverages to be slightly cooler - and this kettle's party-trick is its ability for you to set a temperature from 70 to 100c, which is actually quite cool if you want a quick drink without having to blow on it to cool it down.>>>...BUT ALSO COOL!A cool feature of this kettle is that it stays cool on the outside even when the water inside it is scalding hot. I don't know how it works, but its effective and handy.>>>IT'S SUPER FAST!!This kettle boils things so quickly - like, really, really quickly - to the point that it often boils before I've cleaned my cafetierre to make my coffee. It's particularly noticeable when you set the temperature to something lower than 100c or put a small amount of water in it, but suffice to say that you never need to wait long for this beastie to come to the boil.>>>SUMMING UPThis is the flippin' rolls-royce of kettles. It's German, it boils quicker than Schumacher, it looks awesome AND you can choose how hot it boils the water. What more could you want?

It's a kettle, it's great at being a kettle, but not so great at being a water gauge.
It's a kettle.Yes it's fancy with some nicer features than your bog standard fill-up-and-switch-on job. But, it's still a kettle. And as a kettle, it works fabulously. My only gripe is the placement and readability of the water gauge. Why, oh why, would you put the gauge under the handle? Your hand/arm partially obscures the gauge when filling from the tap in the sink. Very poor design, especially from the normally exacting and fastidious Germans!!Also the readability of the gauge is poor, sometimes necessitating you to pick the kettle up and give it a shake to see where the level is, particularly at the lower end of the scale, whereas my old el-cheapo supermarket kettle gauge could be read at a glance from across the room. Again very poor design., not at all typical German quality.Other than that, it's great. The keep warm feature is particularly useful when going to make a cuppa, but also multitasking doing other things, you can set the kettle to boil and then keep warm until you are finally ready to pour.

Perfect kettle after trying lots of others
Let’s be honest if you’re from up north it’s the most important tool in the kitchen (entire house)It’s a beautiful kettle and works really nicely. Feels expensive compared to the others I tried out first. I have Ninja everything else but my kettle and toaster are now Bosch and they are really good quality. The handle feels really solid with rubber grip at the front. The lid feels better than the smart kettle and ninja. Not too noisy and boils fast. Perfect

Great functional kettle
We love this kettle! It's not particularly noisy or quiet, in my opinion - just an average noise level - but this wasn't an important issue for usIt is robust and feels sturdy when refilling or pouringIt heats up quite quickly - although we tend to only boil 3 cups worth (according to the gauge on the side) so that would vary according to how much the kettle is filled, obviously! The lid is also nice and sturdy, unlike some that feel a bit clunky! I imagine it will last years, but time will tell... It also doesn't seem to scale up as much as our last kettle but that could be my imagination!
