Great iron
I love this iron, it's great just having the one setting for all your clothes. It does run out of water fairly quickly on the max setting, but the eco setting is pretty effective and reduces the water usage. My old Philips iron had to be replaced as both the selectors broke - steam and temperature both stuck on full. That won't happen with this one! Other reviews have said it is too heavy, but I don't find it uncomfortable to use and you need a bit of weight to iron effectively anyway. Some reviews also said it doesn't have an auto-off. Mine switched off when I left it longer than intended, so it must do.

Impressed so far.
A few reviews have clearly not understood the technology of this iron. It does not 'sense' the material it is being used on and adjust it's temperature - it just has a sole plate cool enough for any material and uses a separate heat source to generate the steam. It seems to work from my use so far. It uses far more water than previous irons so your will be topping it up more frequently but I have not experienced the damp cloths others have mentioned. My gripes are that it does seem to take a long time to heat up and the LED ring to stop flashing. We are a household that irons as we use first thing in the morning so the 3 mins it takes to get to temperature is maybe more meaningful than it is for others who are more sensible! The cord is also shorter than I've had on previous irons (inc other Philips) - not by a lot but noticeable.I bought this as I managed to kill the previous one by not cleaning it frequently enough in a hard water area. We have bought a special Philips filter for this one as £90+ seems a lot of cash to me so I hope it lasts.

Just about the worst iron I have ever purchased
Just about the worst iron I have ever purchased, or used. The name perfect care is far from accurate in my opinion. It doesn't matter which steam selection is used there is just not enough steam. The iron NEVER gets hot enough to remove creases from anything at all. I am about to purchase another make of iron and once I have the new one this will be consigned to the bin, where it belongs. One star is praise indeed for this iron. I would have given no stars but Amazon do not have that choice. Disgraceful product and would suggest you look elsewhere for your next iron.

Disappointing
No temperature control, the selling point states the sole plate temperature is just above that of the steam, so therefore when the steam is turned off, so is the temperature, meaning it cannot be used dry. Next, everything is left feeling damp, so clothes cannot be folded and put away. Oh, and it also dribbles water just like any steam iron!

brilliant Iron no more changing the heat settings!!
no more needing to change the heat settings! fantastic usage! glides on like a hot knife in butter..Easy to fill water tank. If you use full steam then the water goes down rather quick but if used in Eco setting then it lasts much much longer but still with more than enough steam to iron clothes. very impressed after first uses.. I have gone from items such as Jeans to daughters school uniform with no issues still to use it on a more delicate item but im sure it will be fine...

Not practical for a busy mum
Firstly, the weight of this is quite high, surprisingly so given the size of it. This is designed to make life easier, but it didn't for me. The water well isn't sufficient enough to cope with the amount of steam it uses, usually, with most irons, I can get away with ironing quite a pile before it requires filling but this one lasted for 3 of OHs work shirts before it needed refilling. The heat gauge on it is quite annoying too as it randomly decides you don't need it as hot as it is so cools down, then changes its mind and reheats back up to the same temperature again. Annoying! It looks nice, is quite ergonomic but then again, so are other irons. For me personally, I'm not a fan, but, I can see the logic to it so three stars for design but not for practical use of a busy mum!

Brilliant Iron
Okay, I must admit I hesitated before spending £110 on an iron, but as I had dropped my previous Phillips Azur and broke it, I took the plunge as it said there were no controls other than steam. I held my breath as I first ironed two silk pillow slips and immediately went on to iron a 100% cotton duvet cover. All I can say is that it more than lives up to expectations. Its totally brilliant and I love it. Its a bit heavy but it does such a fab job I consider the weight to be inconsequential.

Pricey but worth it
I've always had Tefal irons and was even considering a steam generator model when considering my new purchase.I read lots of reviews from experts and customers and decided to swap brands and go for this iron. It's light, glides nicely and really does change temperature/steam for various fabrics very quickly. It takes a bit of getting used to not turning a dial. The extra steam function works well and the cord is a decent length. As a busy mum with children anything that makes your job easier is appreciated. This is expensive at £100 but it's 'my working tool' and if you pay to outsource your ironing it's made it's money back in no time at all.
