Excellent mix of light spectrum for growing and very, very easy height adjustment.
FYI - As something of a cook, I decided I wanted fresh herbs for the kitchen, so I started in-door gardening in earnest this year (2018) in January. Not knowing squat, I bought a number of gooseneck lamps and a variety of grow bulbs until I found the Miracle Grow bulbs, though a bit more expensive than I liked at the time, but they seemed to work well. But as my "hobby" grew out of control, I realized that my lights were too narrow to cover more than a couple of seedling or small transplants with enough light. My 4, then 6, then 8 lamps were fine for a tray of seedlings, but as I transplanted into larger and larger pots I needed too many lamps to cover all the plants. I was constantly moving plants around to get the ones needing more light under a lamp. Some got a lot of light, some much less. So finally I broke down and bought the Root Farm. It worked like a champ, from seedling to mature plant it's got a large area spread of light that's easy to adjust the height. And all the plants under it took off in growing, so I know the type of lighting is excellent for plant growth. My only complaint is that it doesn't really start out low enough for some seedlings that need very strong light initially to germinate. I solved this by flipping an empty 10x20 tray over and placing the seedling tray on top of that, raising the seedlings about 2 1/2" closer to the light temporarily. As the seedlings get transplanted into what I call small grow pots and grow up in height, the Root Farm adjusts higher and higher to give the same and correct light to the plants. Some of my earlier slow growers (basil, cucumbers & beans), are now so tall with such broad leaves, I have moved them out onto the window sill. I am planning to buy 1 or 2 more of these as I can afford them.

Works great! Looks great! Great value!
These are a must have if you love any sort of plants. I use them for house plants in my kitchen in an area where I don't have any windows. I currently use them for my cactus collection, but have used them in the past to start seedlings, and for other types of house plants. Please note: These are identical in every way (except color) to AeroGarden's Grow Light Panel at a savings of at least 25% off. They must be made in the same factory, and AeroGarden puts their logo on theirs, and Root Farm puts their logo on theirs. I actually like Root Farm's color better. It's a more modern light grey color. In my opinion, the grey shows off the plants better than AeroGarden's black color (but it's all a matter of opinion I suppose). I had the AeroGarden version for four years, and these were a replacement for the AeroGarden which finally stopped working. Based on the photographs, I was expecting to get units that were white, but was pleasantly surprised when I opened the boxes and the two Root Farm units I received were the light grey color. These are really great, I love them!

REALLY Bright light makes strong stocky seedlings!
Wow! Was hesitant to spend this much when there are many others for cheaper pricing, but it was such an improvement to the plants I was trying to grow that I don't regret deciding to get it based on being recommeneded and good reviews. I was blown away at how bright this is, with no added heat and a nice compact footprint. Fits perfectly over a standard tray of seedlings with nothing else to fiddle with, and the stand is convenient to raise or lower as needed. My artichoke seedlings barely cleared the soil line before setting a couple of true leaves, unlike before... I also added a vivosun heat mat too, even though I live in So Cal. Between the two additions, my seedling health has improved threefold! I got solid starts and stronger seedlings that aren't nearly as fragile and wimpy as the last lot that I lost entirely to damp rot.The mat helped with the roots, but the light is amazing for the leaves, no spindly stretching at all to make them leggy. They are maybe even brighter than the two 2 foot T5 florescents that I have on my other plants. The quality of light is more intense and seems to be more full or "whiter" than the T5s, more like daylight in full sun while the T5s have a cooler quality.Plants are very much happy with this light, and therefore, so am I. The size and light spectrum is great for starting seeds that I have been struggling with getting established.

Great Light Panel. Mediocre stand. Good value
My Aerogarden LED panel failed and the capacitor/power supply replacement didn't work. I decided to keep the lower pump/reservoir and add a new light panel. Aerogarden sells these exact same panels for about 25% more before specials and without PRIME shipping.Ordered 3 panels. All arrived in good condition. All were coupled with a HEYGO Wifi Smart Plug to add a timer.Pros: Great Light Output in attractive spectrum. All units worked on arrivalCost effectiveMinimal heat generation in air below lights,Legs raised and lowered unit without issue,Light base can be tilted and stays at desired angle.Cons:(-1 star)The plastic legs are flimsy and can be both twisted and spread out with little effort. The 2 base feet are not very stable to tipping or bending. Fortunately this base probably won't be disturbed much and once in position does its job.Recommendations:Improve base design - make feet heavier/wider? add cross brace at bottom?, use a triangular anchor at top or something to improve rigidity?Add timer functionalityAdd cable managementWill update in 6 months to indicate if LED panel has survived daily use.Edit: 6+ months in, still working great after daily timed usage of 18hrs/day.
