Replacement Ear pads Cushions for Parrot Zik 2.0 Zik 2 Zik2 & Zik 3 Zik3 Headphones

My poor Zik's were looking very tired as the earpads were disintegrating. I came across this product and read all the reviews and the consensus is that they are a worthy replacement for the originals. Delivery was from Singapore and was not expected for a few weeks. However, the package arrived within just a few days of ordering.It's essential to watch the video. I watched it through first and then again as I was doing the installation of the earpads, pausing the video at each stage. A pair of plastic tweezers and a plastic lever for removing the earpads is supplied. It's also essential to take it slowly so as to make sure you get it right and remove and refit the delicate sensors in the right slots. I took a photo of mine with my phone to make sure I put the sensors back in exactly as they were. Make sure you use the faps to tuck them in, or they'll pop out again. Each sensor has a different flap, but it will make sense if you watch the video.This saves a lot of hassle later on because if you fit everything and the sensors are the wrong way round, it will be difficult to take the new earpads off again without weakening the adhesive tape that holds them on.It's also worth noting that the electronic parts of the headphones are sealed with thin, black, rubberised tape, presumably for waterproofing. When you prise the old earpads off, it's possible to scrape some of this tape off as well and once this happens, there isn't much that can be done. I inadvertently scraped some of the sealing tape off in a couple of places, but I don' think it will be a problem.Only one earpad has wiring and sensors. Once this is done, the other earpad is easy. Just pop it off as guided, and put the new one on.I now have a pristine looking pair of headphones again for just twenty-odd pounds, so am absolutely delighted. Highly recommended, so long as you're careful and patient.

I chose this Company as I thought it was based in the UK but it's not so took a while to arrive. The quality of the ear pads is good but it's a bit fiddly as you have to remove the sensors from the old ones and put into new ones as you're fitting. There's a video on youtube that shows how this is done so I followed that. Once completed though 'jobs a good un' and they work and feel great.

If you are not a mechanic guy don't order this product. Hard to replace.

These replacements are 10 times better than the original cups, a little fiddly to fit but then any replacement units would be the same process to fit.

Challenging to do but worth it in the end and the quality is first class . A+++

Great solution to a problem that shouldn’t exist. Any Zik2 owner will need these sooner or later. Where are you Parrot when so many have reported this problem to you? Brilliant headphones, but next time I’ll go for B&O!
