MinoSharp Easy To Use Ceramic Water Wheel Sharpeners - for some people, learning the skill of intermediate sharpening with a ceramic or diamond rod is difficult. It is essential that you maintain your knives on a regular basis and it will be easier to maintain them for the long term. Global recommend the use of a water wheel sharpener called MinoSharp and MinoSharp Plus. These are hand held ceramic sharpeners and no experience or skill is required to use them simply fill the reservoir with water and run your knife backwards and forwards a few times. The revolutionary ceramic wheels ensure the blade is sharpened at the correct angle.

Great when working, but broken after 1 month of use.
As the title suggest - 1 month later and the pink sharpener has become separated, meaning it doesn't catch the knife and ultimately doesn't sharpen.Shame, as otherwise they're good products.

A necessity for the knife set
If you have Global knives and an existing sharpener like this, once in a while you will have to put a new set of grinders in! Mine must of been nearly 20 years old and I wondered why my knives were never really sharp. In fact I only replaced them finally when the pink wheel had gone right thru to the axle (durr). Pop in the new pair, and 5 slides forward back with the 2 wheels, they are noticeably immediately so much sharper. Necessary, don't wait as long as I did.

Broke within 6 months
The original wheels worked for years and years. When they finally broke I replaced them expecting just as good service. Broke within 6 months! Useless and expensive.
