Q: CN the platinum series use Air play?

Lane, Thank you for your inquiry. The Transit Platinum TVs are not set up to operate with Apple Airplay - but can utilize Apple TV streaming sticks through any HDMI input. Also, screen mirroring is possible from an Apple device using a "dongle" receiver that is connected to your Apple device (please see your local Apple TV store or Apple Customer Tech Support for correct streaming hardware devices). Q: I'll be using the tv on my boat in the middle of a lake. how would you suggest i get access to internet service to be able to use my firetv stick?

I used an old iphone as a modem and Cricket as the provider for a "data only" service at $35 a month for 20gigs. Cricket sells the sim card for the iphone and also a dedicated modem if you don't have an alternate. Put the iphone on "hotspot" mode and hooked a portable router to the hotspot.
