Great
Great for kids. Easy to play. Good price and the kids are enjoying to play.

Great kit. Just lacked little advice on what exactly you can do to discard your plaster of paris safely...
It provides everything you'd need to make the volcano - paints, plaster of paris, mold, instructions. Only things you'd need to get yourself are vinegar and baking soda. I could have made a volcano myself but I wanted a nicer look and I felt this volcano looked nicer than many of the other DIY volcanoes I've seen on Youtube videos and online, so I am very pleased with it. You could also reuse the outer part of the mold to make multiple copies of volcanoes using plaster of paris that you can buy from art supply shops for instance, but you'd need to find your own cylindrical shaped plastic body (e.g. plastic bottle or 35 mm film cylinder) to form the volcano "crater" for the baking soda and vinegar to react in. I would say the instructions are fine, but somewhat inadequate regarding how to deal with plaster of paris. All it says on the instructions is that you should never wash plaster of paris down the sinkholes in your house, but it does not tell you how else to get rid of it and how to clean the utensils you've used to mix the plaster! I've had to Google around and there were all sorts of websites, all sorts of advice. The best one I've found (in my opinion), is one which says to use paper towels/kitchen towels to quickly wipe off most of the plaster of paris from the utensils that came in contact with the stuff. I actually did a pretty good job of this so much so that my bowl and spoon (that I used to mix the plaster) looked clean at the end. Obviously, you should throw all your used paper towels/kitchen towels into the bin rather than the toilet after wiping down, because it could cause similar problems as throwing the plaster down the sinkhole. If there is any little bit of residue left on your utensils, simply soak in a bucket of cold water. I soaked mine overnight, just in case, even though they were pretty much spotless. Next day, simply pour away the cold water on your garden patch/plants/etc. Just DO NOT pour it down any drains or sinkholes. Job done.

Good interesting activity for my 7 year old daughter
Good interesting activity for my 7 year old daughter. She enjoyed making the volcano and painting it and then making the lava with the bicarbonate of soda & vinegar. It states to add a drop of washing up liquid and some paint to enhance the eruption which we did. (Not included if anybody wasn't sure). Loved by the kids but don't expect anything too exciting. Thoroughly enjoyed by her classmates as she was allowed to take it into class to show everybody. Nice product which can be used over and over again, and even repainted if you wanted to.

The packaging in the photo is in English however mines arrived in a different language, not that big of a deal but hoping there’s English instructions inside so my son can understand

It's fun and realisitc
This volcano is brilliant and quite realistic. I first bought this for an 8 year old nephew for Christmas 2017. He loved it, so I bought it for my 6 year old grandson. He had loads of fun, making it one day and painting it the next. After the paint dried, we set it off. We used an old tray to stand it on as it is obviously messy. You need a plentiful supply of bicarbonate of soda and vinegar. Under supervision and watched by his 4 year old sister who was equally excited we put the included baking soda in the top of the volcano and poured vinegar on. It bubbled and fizzled just as lava comes out of the volcano. We did it several times with our own bi carb and if it is painted a mix of yellow, reds and browns, it looks hot and very realistic. They had so much fun that I have now bought a further kit for another 5 year old granddaughter and can't wait to do it again.

Very poor mould, waste of time.
Complete Rubbish. Holes for mould are in incorrect places, so does not hold together and leaks plaster. Cheap tat, and expensive for a bit of completely useless plastic, badly made and a bit of plaster. If made properly would be OK, albeit expensive for what it is. But it is completely useless. Embarrassing for this company.

Great Fun
I bought the 'Great Gizmos - Volcano Making Kit' kit as a present for a 12 year old. She really enjoyed making the volcano and painting it, I just assumed it would take ages to set and dry out BUT it was rock hard and ready to paint within around 30 min of pouring into the mould !! Younger children will need a little help from parents but not the older ones as the instructions are so simple to follow. Fantastic, super fast results . . . Would most definitely recommended this.

The kit contains plaster powder, a volcano mold and a few colors of paint to decorate the plaster once it fully dries. The paints weren’t enough or maybe my kids were heavy handed but you can basically use any type of acrylic or even water based paint you have at home. We kept the mold and reused it with a pack of plaster of Paris I bought elsewhere a second time as well. You will need baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and vinegar to create the volcano effect yourself. We added a bit of red food coloring to make it look more like lava. Kids loved it. One of them got a star sticker for his effort from his science teacher. Mold seems sturdy and flexible enough to last a long time. Money well spent. I suggest you take the experiment outside into the yard for an easy clean up. I let the volcano dry under the sun for an hour and took it back inside. You can use the volcano many times as long as it is dried fast after each experiment. I’m guessing the plaster would suck up the excess vinegar and get soft if it isn’t dried properly. It’s hot enough outside anyway.
