Our building inspector required self latching hinges on our pool house doors. These hinges were required in case there was a child in the building. I was concerned that this would be a hassle. We were pleased with the ease of installation, fit, and look that these provided. I wasn’t aware how nice and functional self latching hinges could be. They close nicely and tightly. No large bangs. This was an upgrade I didn’t expect and now will consider for our home auxiliary doors. Or handyman had no problems with installation and they look like they came with the doors. Kudos.

I bought 4 of these, I love them actually. One of the four the pin didn't align. They worked great for a for that I want my husband to keep closed.

Worked perfectly for my business inspection

These are identical as the Amazon Basic ones. After a few months, they will not close the doors without adjusting the tension. They also make sounds, and require extra lubrication.The best results are in the doors where I trimmed the frame under the strike plate, so the latch bolt doesn't face too much pressure at closing. So only at interiors doors where is more important the self closing than security.Thanks

These work great for exterior door hinge replacement. They are adjustable so you can set the amount of tension to self close the door. The product is well made and sturdy.
