Butlers Hot Chocolate 240 g

Butlers make great hot chocolate, bought loads of these over the years for presents and myself.

These were of good quality but they jammed in my chocolate machine - AMZCHEF 8 in 1. I had to use them in an ordinary pot.

Delicious hot chocolate, bought as a gift as well as for myself and were perfect, made from good quality hot chocolate which melt/mix well and taste great. Look like little Butler's mugs chocolates which you just pop into the mug which make no mess at all, good value for the quality of hot chocolate created, would definitely recommend.

I love hot chocolate and when I came across these I just had to give them a go. Really lovely mild chocolate flavour. Easy to make and not overly sweet. I may have used too big a cup and too much milk though as I found the taste a little too subtle.

I’ve now compared these to real Belgian chocolate and have updated my review. You should be aware that they aren’t solid blocks of chocolate as you might expect, they have a thin chocolate outer case, inside is a mixture of cocoa, condensed milk, etc. A bit like a filled chocolate. Not solid chocolate. They do taste every bit as good as real Belgian chocolate which was a surprise, they’re not sweeter or less chocolate so they do represent good value for money and an easy way to make a real hot chocolate. I now fully recommend them and I’ve just bought 4 boxes to put my money where my mouth is. UPDATE: Nov 21, I’ve just bought more boxes of them. So easy and delicious, far better than powdered.

I first came across this product when I purchased a tin of individually wrapped hot chocolate blocks in the January sale from Debenhams.. As soon as I arrived home I just had to try one. Aww I was not disappointed and any guests that visited my home I just had to make them one. It turns out whenever they visit they ask for one of my delicious beverage drinks. I then needed to purchase more, however this was only a Xmas line at Debenhams to my disappointed. So I searched on google and was delighted that I could purchase them from Amazon. I purchased them in boxes of 10, these were not individually wrapped however I still have the tin to store them in. My elevenses is my treat to myself each day and I truly enjoy it! Thank you Butlers and Amazon :)

I have no idea what Butler's have done to what was a top quality product that I have purchased for years. A creamy delicious chocolate drink is now a virtually tasteless drink, greasy in the mouth and leaving an unpleasant aftertaste. Very poor - I shall not be purchasing any more - how sad!

I first time had Butlers was in Dublin- and it waS love at first delicious mouthful! I can honestly say that it is THE most gorgeous hot chocolate I have ever tasted and everything else tastes watery and powdery in comparison. Personally, I make it with semi skimmed milk and would never consider making it with cream (as suggested on the box, as a luxury alternative)it really is creamy and chocolatey enough as it is. My husband is also addicted to Butlers hot chocolate and we will definately be subscribing for regular deliveries- we can't live without it! I have never written a review before but feel that Butlers hot chocolate is an experience that EVERYONE should at least try!

It has an awesome taste but it is a little expensive.

Tasty hot chocolate, and everyone finds this kind of fun and unique and even a bit exotic, being from Ireland ;-). You can adjust the “chocolatiness” of your hot cocoa by adding a second chocolate or using more or less milk. Up the richness by using some half-and-half or cream. Make it by the cup using a microwave, or in a pan for bigger batches. It’s a great under $10 Christmas gift for friends and hard-to-shop-for coworkers. For me, this product has always shipped from Caroll’s Irish Gifts. Doesn’t take long to arrive, and so far the shipping price has been the same flat amount whether ordering one box or half a dozen... so of course, we maximize and buy multiples now.

Probably the best hot chocolate I have ever had, flavorful rich and delicious, satisfying but youll want more !

Bought this first while in Ireland. Glad to find we can order it on Amazon!
