Sustainable, fragrance free option, sufficient for not-so-sweaty people
As a person who prefers fragrance free body care, the Native deodorant represents a good option that's also sustainable and (slightly more) natural.Personally I don't like any of the scented options of Native, maybe the Coconut Vanilla is tolerable. The scents are too strong, but I know that others like that. I want my body care to smell of nothing at all; if I want to smell good, I'll use a fragrance afterwards. The fragrance free Native deodorant helps me smell of nothing... just clean. It's not the most efficient deodorant (not even from the more natural options), but I'm not also the most sweaty or stinky person. Most time of the year the Native deodorant is just enough; and if I hike for a day in the hot summer... there will be more stinky and sweaty things than my arm pits. The selling point for me with native is the plastic free packaging, since I try to be less wasteful and more sustainable in my daily life.Don't be fooled by the cardboard packaging. Yes, in time it gets slightly oily and you can see in the picture that after a couple of months the cardboard looks yellow... but it's perfectly functional and won't disintegrate before you use up the deodorant.I have sensitive skin and the Native deodorant fragrance free doesn't irritate my armpits even after shaving. Usually from the regular deodorants / antiperspirant with aluminum my armpits get slightly darkened, with Native I have no issue. The deodorant is creamy and glides easily. It stains the clothes, but I have a solution for that. I apply the deodorant at night and it the morning I wipe any excess.

Works Well & Smells Good
So far so good! The deodorant is working well so far, and it smells very nice, but subtle. I will see how it does in the Florida summertime. I love the packaging. It took me a minute to figure it out, but it's sturdy and smooth. One thing I do is use the side of the container to push it back down after using it, so I don't damage the stick. It's very easy to push up. But what I love the most is that it's natural and there's no plastic. I'm slowly steering away from one-use plastics. I'm super happy with this purchase!

Nice deodorant, but...
Absolutely love the Native Charcoal. The clean, earthy scent is wonderful as I don't care for flowery scents. Its effectiveness is great although warmer weather is coming, so we'll see how well it truly works. No skin irritation with this scent. However, the earth friendly container is terrible. It was okay for about a week, but after that the pieces kept coming apart, and the deodorant cake started falling out. Although the Charcoal is my favorite scent, I won't buy it in this packaging. It'll be plastic for me, sorry.

This IS the one for busy and sensitive folks
So happy to have a plastic-free option of this excellent deodorant. After much testing, this Native brand scent is THE natural deodorant. It doesn't leave a weird texture on the skin, and it works well for my perimenopausal body (IYKYK). Worth the cost. Hold your finger at the bottom as you apply it. Like all cardboard deodorant containers, the solid can slip down with pressure.

Nice scent, seems to work. Container is terrible. Get the one in plastic.
The deodorant itself seems good. I like the scent and I don’t seem to have any odors over the course of a full day.The packaging/container on the other hand is the worst design/functionality of any container in the history of mankind. The outer sleeve is super tight fitting so you tug and yank to get it off to use. Then it’s a puzzle to get it back together when done, I would usually just barely put it back on because it was a pain getting off and on, and then the container is twice as tall. Then after a little use (maybe 1/4 of the product?) the deodorant itself would separate from its holder completely. It would fall out. For a bit there was enough left where you could squeeze it in the cardboard to continue to use as a handle, but finally it got to where you had to hold the deodorant block in your hand to apply. Then, you had a waxy mess on your hands that you had to wash off, after just showering. Considering this stuff is almost priced as high as gold, you end up tossing a fair bit at the end because you can’t grip well enough to apply it to you body.
