What height and width of tree would these lights fit ?

Are they water proof?

Yes they are. We used them for about 3-4 weeks over the Christmas period last year and they were fine. We have lots of other outdoor battery lights on trees and mini conifers, but we bought these for our hanging topiary balls. We found the battery compartments easier to access than our others but very secure. If you felt the need, depending upon how open to the elements they will be, you could always wrap the battery box in a small polythene bag and secure with an elastic band, but we didn't need to as they were fairly sheltered. The lights themselves are definitely for outdoor use.

Does the timer light need to be green for the timer to work

Hello, there is no timer light to indicate the timer function has been set as this is the only function available. You simply switch the lights on by pressing the green button, and they will switch themselves off automatically after 6h. Natasha, Lights4fun.

does the timer automatically switch the lights on then off then cycles again after 6 hours? When they go off can't seem to switch them on again...
