Do you need to use the whole bottle to descale a kettle?

NOOOO! It's really powerful, I only use it neat in the bathroom. Probably a tablespoonful watered down a bit for kettles or coffee machines. You'd need to wash it out pretty thoroughly too.

Would this work at cleaning an iron with sticky burnt on areas?

i doubt it - this stuff is great at dissolving limescale. there is another kilrock product to solve your problem - Kilrock Iron Cleaning Stick - this worked for me!

can you use it in a sream generator iron

I have not tried this, but I would assume so as it is simply a chemical to dissolve the scale.You would need to ensure that you diluted in the correct proportions (probably follow that for Kettles).After use I'd suggest you flush the iron through thoroughly as it would likely have loose particles left in suspension - you would not want these transferred to clothes. If deposits are excessive, you could always use and flush again.

We have a tap that has a restricted flow due to hard water. Will this work if put in one of the tap cleaning bags. The tap is chrome.

No I don’t think so, because if this product is left in contact with the chrome for too long it will damage the chrome. Lakeland do a product called Limey which is designed specifically for de scaling tap heads. Otherwise I would suggest replacing the tap, which is often the case in a hard water area.
